“We are a friendly group of people who make things that are given to people who need them within the community. Although I could already knit, I have attempted harder stitches whilst making for this group and recently have learnt to crochet through this group. Even if you can only do very basic crafts, you are made to feel very welcome and if you get stuck there is always someone that you can help you. Whilst visiting a hospice in Birmingham I asked if this group could help them, I'm so glad I asked because the lady I spoke to smiled as she was looking for help and didn't know who to ask for help.”

“After a quick phone call to ask if it was OK to donate our child's bed everything went smoothly, parked up in the tesco car park brought the bed in to be checked before accepting it from us, followed with a quick form to fill out for tax donations, made us feel happy the bed wasn't going down the tip. Although we have had many good things from Barnardos over the years for our children it's been a very helpful charity shop for the Stourbridge community. Thank you all (and Sue)”

They looked after a loved one for only a few days but when they passed away we could not fault the service they provided from the minute we received the phone call to them sitting down and going through options and giving advice at gone 10pm at night. The staff were so professional and friendly and made us feel so welcome. The only regret is that our relative hadn’t spent more time there before they passed away.”
