“Well supplied convenient store, owners and staff nice, one lady in particular, Nathaly is absolutely lovely. Most of the shop assistants don't wear masks, I was told two were exempt but a few times there was a lady at the till with her mask around her neck, she obviously had a mask and was supposed to wear it. I understand exemptions but in the absence of masks, maybe visors or a screen would help... especially as there are more contagious variants going around...”

“What a brilliant little shop, while passing through on the canal & deciding to moor up for a week just after Shrewley tunnel, I was in need of some general items for the week and surprisingly found everything I needed right here, even a lovely homemade Chicken Jalfrezi that the shop sells.... I had a chat with the owner & explained I like it hot ? He very kindly gave me some extra green chillies to add to said curry. Again many thanks. George”

“I like this shop, but it doesn’t like customers!!Seriously understocked. Staff appear to unhappy (one is quite rude and keeps talking on the radio whilst serving!). I believe this shop is suffering from higher (above store level) management issues. Those managers, I believe, have forgotten the importance of customer service and that begins with looking after your staff.Happy staff means all they can do is done better.Help the staff by providing the stock.I’ve started taking some of my money to Sainsbury’s. It’s cheaper and the product is on the shelves. Some of the staff here are fantastic (most are great), but I believe they are run down by a difficult to work in system that’s putting the customer against them, which is not fair. Please tell me I’m wrong…You cannot sell what isn’t on the shelf.I really like the wider aisles that gives an airy feel.I also like the use of the self serve unpacked food, but without any decent container or bag to use, I haven’t used them in a while. (Those cheap appear bags are pointless).Maybe you could sell some environmentally friendly reusable containers (ready to go)? FYI: the containers you do sell will need washing and can we use them; before we paid? I recommend a re-think to make this more suitable to customers. It’s a shame the shop is being let down. The reward scheme seems good, but the prices are really really high to begin with, so unsure if I’m actually saving.Another bug bear for me - the same item is often for sale on different shelves, sometimes at different prices!! Apparently this planning done in an office somewhere… let the store manager’s manage the store, they know best what customers want, your software isn’t good enough..It’s just my opinion based on my personal experience of the last near 12 months of using this store…. It just like the massively overpriced Shell garage, I’m being encouraged to go out the village to spend money.Edit:I have spoken with the temp manager Gary (who also manages another store). He understands the issues with the store and is working with the store staff and senior managers to make improvements. It may take a month or 3. One star added for his communication and time given to explain and converse about the issues present.”

“This is a large tesco with plenty of parking outside.Inside, there is a sit down Costa coffee shop, along with a goulds barber and a timpsons. This tesco is no different from any of the other tescos you might visit. It has good quality products at competitive prices. The store is clean and well organised and the staff are all very friendly.”

“Clean, plenty of parking and feels spacious inside. Toilets were spotless and lots of fast food choices (at motorway prices of course). We stopped going both south and north.”

“Nice little shop that seems bigger inside. Also has a bakery inside with a range of pies. Handy spot to get supplies if you moor your canal boat on the Warwick side of the Shrewley Tunnel, and follow the path up to the village on the way to the local pub.”

“The store is amazingly clean and everything is neatly displayed. The collaboration with Olio showing yellow ticket reduced price items on their app is a great way to fight waste. I paid at the self serve checkout but was personally thanked by the lady behind the till.”

“Convenient store with lots of options - they’ve worked hard to turn this around over the last year and you can see the effort - there is a high staff turnover over and this creates a compounded problem above the fact that they try to do too many things (like evri pickup)

Many of the issues relate to the types of people who come in and cause trouble not the staff. They’re trying their best.”

“I just popped into my local Sainsbury on Coton End to pick up a few bits. There was a short queue outside that led onto the car park. A staff member asked politely if people would queue along the path along the store for safety. One man refused saying the cars could see him so whats the problem ! The manager was called and everyone except this one individual compiled. I was now in the store when this man barged in throwing goods in his bag, not a basket shouting he was shopping for an elderly person so they could not stop him. The police were called but he left leaving the manager in tears after his aggressive torrent of abuse. The lady who served me said they experience this type of abuse everyday, this is unacceptable and as with all our other key workers shop assistants should be applauded for keeping our shops open in spite of the behaviour they have to endure by some of the general public. I hope this man feels ashamed of himself and has the desensy to apologise. Stay safe people but also be respectful and kind to all those keeping this community going.”

“Great little general stores with just about all you need and still going despite the Co-Op opening a store practically next door and trying to put them out of business. Go here instead of the Co-Op.”
