“Comfy hotel, surprisingly easy for NEC despite the distance!, situated in the centre of the market town of Atherstone it is just off the A5.The B4114 will take you through Coleshill to the NEC in about half an hour on nice quiet country roads! The hotel is a15th century coaching inn with plenty of character, the rooms vary in size but are clean & tidy..the ones in the annexe have been freshly decorated. Dogs are allowed in the rooms (handy for Crufts) & they don't charge for dogs or increase prices when events are on!I saw the function room dressed for a wedding & it was very impressive. Food is really good with large portions too & at great prices!2024 update: Another great stay, well looked after- the run to the Nec trickier now as my satnav didn't recognise the new road layout after Coleshill but route easy enough, already booked for next year too!!”
