I spent two weeks here with my wife and two children (ages 13 and 10) The absolute best thing about the site is the setting, with a wonderful sweeping view of the bay and the pretty harbour of New Quay on one side. We had a caravan right on the front, which was glorious, but because the park is tiered it looked like a lot of caravans had a sea view of one kind or another. There is direct access to the gorgeous beach from the park and it was always very quiet even on sunny days - it's big enough that there is enough space for everyone. I also really wish I'd brought some kind of inflatable (paddleboard, kayak) since the bay is very sheltered and safe and it would have been great for my kids to muck about in. I would say that although the area is beautiful, there are not as many activities nearby as in North or South Wales - there are no theme parks or water parks within an hour's drive and apart from the water sports centre in New Quay (which is very good) there aren't many other activity places, especially for wet weather. Still, there are plenty of lovely little towns - Aberaeron, Cardigan, Aberystwyth and even Fishguard are well worth a visit. We also enjoyed the park evening entertainment. It was not of the very highest quality but the entertainment team really gave it their all and even my cynical teenager enjoyed the banter of the bingo, dancing, circus and other acts. Special shout out to Eleanor and the mighty Clare who seemed to put in a high-energy 3 hour shift every night. On the bad side, I did not feel this was a very well equipped park, for its size. The pool and outdoor pool were OK, but quite small and plain. The tennis court had no working net and you had to get a key from reception which made it a bit of a nuisance. Worst of all, this park is crying out for a multi-use games area that is open all the time. There were so many kids out trying to play ball games on little strips of grass and if there was a football pitch somewhere my son would have spent half his time there playing with other kids - I thought this was the point of this kind of park. Finally, I really wish there was not so much upselling on this type of holiday. My caravan cost many thousands of pounds and my reward for this custom seemed to be that Haven tried to find every opportunity to try to get me to spend more. During the entertainment there was constant encouragement to order more food and drink from the (expensive) bar and (mediocre) fast food outlets. As well as the (expensive) arcade, there was a shop right next to the entertainment bar so parents can be constantly badgered with requests for over-priced plastic tat - this is particularly galling because it will only end up in the sea ruining the beautiful environment they depend on for their business. There was also pervasive advertising for caravan sales. I understand this must be a great money-spinner for Haven but just to be clear, being sold to makes my holiday worse and I wish there was less of it. In my experience of holiday parks abroad (France, Netherlands) there seems less gouging, less pressure and far more activities that are part of the price so you don't always have to be spending more money. Anyway, still highly recommended, but it's really Wales that I love and not the Haven Park that happens to be sitting in it.

The park in general was very good, entertainment you could not fault, however? My dad became quite poorly when we were there. We were in the mash & barrel restaurant and unfortunately he was sick, we found out later that day he had covid and my sister had to come collect him. My complaint is how the staff reacted to him vomiting on the floor, VERY unprofessionally and to be honest quite humiliating! You need to train your staff to beable to deal with such like situations with a little more decorum. VERY UPSET

I've been having haven holidays with my children for 20+ years now, come off our holiday today from this camp (4.8.23)this was the first time we've been to this camp, the surroundings are absolutely beautiful, I paid for a Seaview caravan and it didn't disappoint. The foot in the mash and barrel is nice, just a shame some of the young girls that work in there can talk to you quite rude, but theres others that are friendly.I don't like the cashless arcades money pit i put £10 on a card for my child and it was gone in 10 minutes, swimming really needs updating the changing area is not the nicest and needs a good clean and don't like were the showers are. Absolutely loved the evening entertainment, krazy Kevin and Dinky Dino was brilliant as was Damian patton. The fun starts are brilliant, especially Claire and Josh them two really get the crowds going brilliant at their jobs. My caravan was absolutely beautiful, I can't fault it at all and was in a beautiful quiet part . There's lots of stuff to do on camp you have to pay and book for which is a pain sometimes. Will definitely come back. I didn't go the beach I have mobility issues and parts of it was too steep and hilly but the harbour is beautiful too and you can get boat trips from the to spot dolphins.

It's the last night of our holiday tonight, my two daughters and I have been here for a week. We booked a Silver caravan but were given an upgrade we think - to a Gold, in the new development attached to the right of the main site - Milkwood Way. The caravan was amazing with a bathroom (with a bath!) and a separate shower room, plus a dishwasher and a washing machine. Everything felt new. There were still workmen around during the day finishing things off around the area but that didn't bother us. A shortcut through to the main site meant we were only a 10 minute walk from the clubhouse. There are gorgeous sea views from the park, with direct beach access just a short walk through a pretty woodland. What we have been most impressed with is the entertainment. The entertainment team all work very hard and are great with the kids. Special mention for Claire who is brilliant. We go on caravan holidays several times a year, and the entertainment here has been the best. All the staff here, bar staff etc have been really nice, and that really does make a difference. The site itself is hilly but really well kept, and it's just a 20 min leisurely walk into New Quay with shops and lovely pubs, although be prepared for a big hill when you get there. All in all we've had a lovely week, and hope that our week in Kiln Park in October will be as good. We'll definitely be coming back to this one.

We've been to many Haven sites and this is definitely the worst. The photos are deceiving. The pool is tiny with one very small slide, my children were bored after 15 minutes. It's probably OK for toddlers but even my 3 year old wasn't fussed. The staff around the pool are whistle happy, all you can hear constantly is one of them blowing the whistle, you'd think its a huge swimming complex! They are watching the clock counting down the seconds to blow that whistle on the hour for you to get out & are very strict on timings/bookings. Usually you can book the day before at other sites but none of that here. We could only get in twice. The entertainment room is small and Has bare minimum on, kids entertainment is 6:30-9pm and most of that is breaks/family game shows where the kids get bored & are constantly being told to get off the dance floor. Last orders is 11pm. The views are beautiful and we private rented which was lovely. There's a very steep walk to the beach from the site so beware If you have difficulty walking & the beach is very windy so it's quite cool. The security man was helpful. There's no greeting as you come in, no pass needed on your car, we wernt asked to show passes once in the club. Very basic site, the arcades are small and you have to pay by card which takes the fun away as you can't just give children some change to go play or they'll spend a fortune on cards. I definitely wouldn't return, most of the staff were miserable. The harbour is beautiful, we saw Dolphins and there's a nice ice cream shop but nothing else for miles. The nearest supermarket is 45 mins away in Ambleside. Hope this helps.

The park is in a beautiful location. Everywhere I walked, I saw the ocean and it never gets old. We were instantly upgraded to a Bronze, having only booked a Saver and I was very impressed. I loved seeing New Quay harbour from our front window. The entertainment is good and the children enjoyed it. The pools are small, and can get busy - there's no room for length swimming. I'm happy with our holiday and I have made lots of lovely memories there. Lots of activities to do too

Absolutely beautiful location, lovely walks, close to lovely town. The mash and barrel food is disgusting and a lot of food was actually out of stock, we ate there a few times and the Sunday lunch is probably the worst I?ve ever had, the staff were nice but seemed stressed out. This restaurant is the main reason for giving only 2 stars. The evening entertainment was not good, very repetitive music, the main entertainment women seemed to be randomly shouting down the mic a lot, the dancers looked board and flat, except when the main guy dancer/entertainer was with them he really lit the whole place up I thought he was fab, full of energy and fun, adults and kids really seemed to enjoy him, unfortunately only seen him one night doing a song quiz with two people from the audience. Really I think he needs new dancers that can match his fun, energy and enthusiasm. We also saw a fantastic juggling act. The shows with the characters were lazy and boring. The indoor swimming pool is lovely but completely fully booked in advance so really hard to actually get in. The outdoor pool is lovely but was hardly open, I don?t know the reason why it was mostly closed. The staff around the pool are really nice except one guy who I saw behind the pool counter who was rude and useless, he didn?t have a lifeguard T-shirt on I got the impression he was actually the more senior staff there. The Ariel tree top activity was fab and the staff were great. The art and craft activities were good but the member of staff there looked so bored and didn?t interact with the kids or even want to be there. The shooting and archery activity was good and the staff there were fantastic. Our caravan was clean and ready upon arrival The arcade was good except the pool table ball?s keep getting stuck, the guy in the arcade was good constantly going back and forth to keep sorting it out again and again. Overall I thought the whole place was a bit flat and not a happy holiday place

Lovely location and good facilities. The staff are friendly and hardworking. There are car charging spaces which was great but unfortunately they were often blocked with non electric vehicles. With the amount of electric cars on site during our visit, these spaces need to be kept accessible for charging, maybe with clearer markings and penalties.

Not what it used to be. First trip here since 2017 and there is a marked decline. The good: -Lovely mobile home with terrific view. Sparkling clean on check in. -Restaurant food was very good. -Contactless check in very welcome change and seemless The bad: -Clear cost saving measures in place throughout -Activities all poor quality -Poorly trained inexperienced staff throughout. Manners and courtesy non-existent at times. This isn't new however, customer service standards in Haven are historically very poor. -Maintenance and upkeep of park in decline. Grass was cut while I was there very poorly -Amusements area downgraded to price gouging unenjoyable machines. The cheaper slot machines all gone. -Over 18 slot machine area is terrible -3 pool tables at back of restaurant. In terrible condition, haven't been serviced in years. Small bit of love would offer a nice area for people to relax with a game -Cabaret area is a glorified babysitting area. Music so loud you can't hear yourself think not to mention kids running around wired until well after 11. Might try one of the Tenby parks next year. Very disappointing

Caravan was clean and spacious and close to main complex which was what we wanted, entertainment area had been revamped and was looking great mini golf was closed due to refurbishment and outdoor pool but didn't bother us , arcade had also been updated didn't like that you need play passes to use it only 2 p machine took cash could be a problem for families with young children who like to put money in the machines but maybe I'm old fashioned, bingo was on too early in my opinion 5.30 pm tea time? Quay West is our favourite place as we love exploring the area and beautiful scenery

We came here few years back and returned this year and to our amazement the place looks great and has got 10 times better! The pool staff Andy, Camilla, Shona (cant think of anymore names) are so helpful and positive definitely know what they are doing & do it great! Mash and Barrel still smells but atleast they got rid of a few rude & nasty members of staff... the Papa John's manager Stuart with the temper has gone which has improved the place ten fold not just for guests but for staff too i bet! The arcade has changed over to a top of card which makes you end up spending more but its with the times & looks so tidy & well organised. The reception team seems to have failed theres only one lovely lady on there now Gill? Ever so helpful, warm & positive unlike the other girls they kind of left all for the nice lady to deal with & ignored guests. Really enjoyed our stay and caravan, we stayed on Powys and had a really good sea view shame there was parking for only one car as we stayed along with friends but all & all a great holiday we have been here a handful of times and its good to see the place change and improve over the years!

I?m a former haven blue coat I?m now full time entertainer give positive the cavern stop in was amazing could fault it everything needed and stunning views, we had food at all outlets and met Dave who in my view is most hard working guy I?ve ever met that man needs a pay rise there in morning and last thing at night working hard, the chip shop was the worse meal of the weekend end up throwing it away had a pie and chips pie was so hard didn?t want to break my teeth, me and partner was very upset and when hungry the pizza was great value and can?t fault, had washing left outside the van mention it to reception on Friday was still outside on Sunday had to tell reception twice to pick it up, attitude was awful the comment we know, well why not been sorted? Customer services would get a 0 the entertainment is the worse I?ve ever witness, who ever runs the training at haven needs to be fired, entertainer rarely saw always back stage the presented in three night stop needs retraining speaking a lot and not a lot of action doing two games an hour to win a sticker people pay hundreds for holiday and win game and get sticker, also games not given examples so kids don?t know what to do not good, taking a hour to do beach bingo missing out numbers as too busy talking to win a 4 quid teddy bear come on need to do better speaking over the audio, the dinosaur adventure is the worse piece of kids entertainment I have ever witness my partner never been haven before and she was telling me how bad and she likes watching kids programmes. Could go on about entertainment but think get idea wouldn?t returned to this park and it has put me off booking haven again shame because I enjoy time at blue dolphin, far grange and Lakeland when work there but product seems very poorly put together what happen?

Fantastic place great for the kids, but make sure your pockets are deep and the arms aren't short. The site put on great activities for the kids and have plenty of Rainey options. Further, if you want to branch out from the site there is a cracking beech and New Quay is lovely
