Beautiful pub, amazing lay out with plenty of space for dogs, but still cozy. Great pint of Guinness. The reason for the two stars is that it smells very strongly of urine. So much so, we couldn?t finish our drinks. Music could be turned down, great songs but couldn?t actually have a conversation. Such a shame, as really is a nice pub.

It's an excellent little pub, halfway up the mountain but well worth a visit.
Nice locals, a beer garden and a two tier bar/lounge. We'll worth a visit.
Wheelchair accessibility: Sadly as it is perched on the hill access is only for the intrepid visitor. Wirth a visit though. Proper old pub.

I forgot this place is so local to me . Hidden away up a small lane . Lots of character and great prices for the drinks . Didn't eat, but there they had pizza and steak nights at a good price up on the boards. I will definitely try one of these out one night .Was just nice to sit outside in the warm weather with a great view.

I didn't have anything to eat but booking is necessary most nights of the week. Good beer. For me a proper pub.

5 STARS All Around guys.
FOOD.
We Had Steaks and the garlic sauce was stunning. Had myn cooked med/rare and it was spot on.
ATMOSPHERE.
Really good atmosphere there.
Wish we lived closer so we could pop in every night.
STAFF. Really friendly with smiles all around. I particularly like Holly she was really cheerfull, polite, and was lovely to talk to.

First time visit for pizzas last night and safe to say we'll be returning! My goats cheese and onion marmalade pizza was can't-get-enough-of-it good! And the chips were fabulous too! Clear it had all been freshly cooked as delivered piping hot - that meant a little delay between the sets of pizzas but it was worth it!

Best pub in Cwmbran, proper well kept beer (ale) that is always changing, staff always friendly and nice, great atmosphere, food is outstanding and well worth any wait you might have. And the views no matter the weather.
