“I really like Aldi there are always lots of bargains and I really do like the rip-off beers which are very similar to the brand named ones. I really dread to think how many clothes and other items I've got from the special buys which I'm always having a look at or keeping eye out for. Even though it gets really busy in Aldi you wouldn't believe the speed of the staff on the till.”

“Waitrose is always the best motorway services, which isn't saying much, as they are mainly fairly formal, there's s good choice of snacks etc here, but, like all motorway places, it's rather overpriced and a limited selection.”

“We are Brit expats on visit from France, dying for REAL fish and chips. They have no idea in rural France, where we live. We knew that this f&c shop was virtually takeaway only, but we were able to sit down to eat our takeaways. The batter on the chips was spot-on crunchy. The chips were just right, could have been a bit more crispy, but matter of taste as swmbo declared them perfect.”

I also always get confused which one does the fresh bakery items, would recommend they both do it so that I don't wonder into the wrong shop hoping for a freshly baked doughnut only to be disappointed.”

“Come here now it’s stead of extra Cardiff because it’s less busy and always stocked. This branch has polite staff that are always willing to help. In this store there is always an Evans and burtons on the top floor alongside a big F&F section. I feel this store is bigger with a better range. Down stairs also has an H&B. It’s conveniently located with fuel and a car wash.”

“Did a good shopping trip with someone who had vouchers to spend. Had a few bargains myself. Suggest you do up your coat and put on gloves around the fridge section. But that's a good thing, means the food is protected. Although a long distance from my home will probably be back again.”

“Great store, plenty of parking and friendly staff. This is not my regular Lidl, I tend to shop at the I've now local to me. I've been to this branch a few times and always found it to be very busy in a Saturday, during the week is fine. I was more than impressed with the staff and cleanliness inside and out. A great selection of produce with very good stock levels. Using the app is an added bonus while shopping at the Lidl stores. They're all recommend in my opinion.”

“Advertised mini oven was not stocked on Thursday 22nd February. Tried 3 stores in Cardiff. Wasted my time! Not over happy. Noticed Pentwyn store’s fruit and veg was not looking particularly fresh - decided to shop for some items elsewhere.”

“Got pretty much everything you need, parking is sometimes a bit of a nightmare as the carpark is small but due to location there is nothing that can be done about that.Handy if you need to pick up a meal deal on the way to work as it's open early and also open until late.”

“Good place sometimes long wait at till & if your looking for customer service it's NOT sign posted but it's at lottery cigarette terminal counter if a queue you waiting in turn a nightmare I have reported to a manager in Jan 2025 no change yet as of June 2025”

“Lots of parking spaces available. Great selection of vegan produce, both my boyfriend and I found lots of new things to try, including vegan camenbert and a vegan kimchi 'cheese', gorgeous stuff and much nicer than coocnut oil alternatives. Managed to find everything I came in for and more! The store is more expensive than other supermarkets but there is a higher quality on every aspect :)”

“We've been to Zi's cafe for a number of years now, and it always delivers. Most recently they've started Cantonese Dim Sum, tasting exactly like the high-end traditional restaurants in Hong Kong! The restaurant owner said they've recruited a senior chef from Hong Kong - no wonder!”

“I love this supermarket, the owners are so lovely as well as helpful, and if you are unsure about anything they're always there to help you, I even discovered new foods that I never thought to try with their suggestions, and with everything they do suggest it has been really delicious, I was shocked that I never tried it earlier.”

“They got everything you need frozen and lots of cakes/ crisps / drinks fridge foods / eggs /spong puddings great offers vegetables/ sweets / biscuits / kitchen items air fryers candles pets yoys and dog beds and cat food and dogs food and treats for both I can't believe the prices they are very reasonable and loads of offers as soon as you walk in big shop loads of room to walk everything in it right place and the staff are very helpful and happy to help you find what you need if you ask they will find the items and are very happy to serve you”
