“I am so pleased with the service I just received from Simtech in replacing the baseboard on my Mac after a fault. From first enquiry, ordering a new baseboard and waiting for it to arrive, I had my Mac back in under 30 hours. The service was fantastic. I was also given great advice as to whether to replace the part with a new or used one. I went for a used one at a significantly lower price and it's 'pristine.' I am so pleased. I can't recommend Simtech enough. I'll be using their services again, I'm sure.”

“TL;DR: solutions are the best IT repair shop in cardiff, and I cant recommend them enough. This is really 2 reviews, 14 years apart, Job one: In 2010, I broke my laptop hard drive, losing my uni dissertation and course work with a few weeks left before deadline. Major panic stations. I lived up the road from solutions and took it to them as the nearest IT repair shop. Within 72 hours, solutions had replaced the hard drive, got my laptop working again and crucially managed to get all my data back off the old one. Dissertation saved, super happy. Job two: Sept 2024. While on holiday, my Samsung Android phone stopped working. With no obvious cause it went into a boot loop for 24 hours and then turned into a paperweight. Completely unresponsive. The real issue is that i had 10,000 unbacked up photos that were lost. Gone. Birthdays, anniversaries, holidays. Speaking to Samsung themselves, several other repair shops across south wales, I got the same answer again and again: it's a motherboard issue, it's software related, your data is gone, buy a new phone or we can rebuild this following a factory reset, losing any data that survived. In absolute desperation, I searched for someone who would be willing to at least take a look at it. Solutions to the rescue: within a week, the issue was found (tiny, cheap replaceable component), the phone is back (I'm posting from it) and I have my photos for a super reasonable price seeing as the photos were priceless. Since picking up my phone from solutions, my pet has died and without solutions I'd have lost all of my photos of him. I can't thank Solutions enough. Genuine hero. Twice.”
