I have been a patient with the canna surgery for 15 years now and I can definitely say that the quality of care and treatment has declined and if you complain about it they don't answer you and threaten to remove you from the surgery, they used to be good but since the old doctors have reigned and new doctors have taken their place it not the same they don't show any compassion or interest in you and they run the surgery like a business, thanks for reading this review Chris

Removed me from their system after 2 years of being a patient due to a ?system error?. Despite requiring daily medication they wouldn?t provide emergency supply so ended up missing it for a week and asked me to re-sign up as a patient (bring passport again etc). Incredibly slow with prescriptions and don?t offer repeat so you have to ring every 3 weeks. Moved GP?s and couldn?t be happier. Time to modernise & do better Canna Surgery

The message in the beginning is descriptive, but impossible to skip and takes a few min, which I know by hard now. You have to call at a precise time span of 5 min to book appointments for two days ahead-emergency appts are also almost Impossibele to get to. I've been turned down 5 times by now to call next day and be booked 2days after(which is exactly during school run, while I'm driving), for something I am already being treated for by a doctor... Receptionists are 50/50 some extremely helpful others just cut you off as fast as possible. If you are a single parent with kids and working 9-5job can't even book appointment ahead to book a day off, just have to take sick leave so you can eventually get to doctor as a few times I've had appointment rescheduled. Most doctors were quite nice at least, but the headache to get to them gets you to self medicate.... And you always get asked if you passed a pharmacy first, before you even start the conversation? 3rd world countries offer more organized GP booking systems...

Friendly caring doctors, the best I?ve ever had. I always feel they give me the time to explain myself, listen to me and treat any issues I have brought to them.

I've been attending this surgery since it was opened & before that in Kings Rd.Back in the early days the service offered was outstanding & I really felt like they truly cared - but in the last 8 years or so they've allowed things to slip.I feel there's little compassion there anymore - especially after covid!!We see adverts on TV saying 'if we are feeling overwhelmed or distraught or are struggling to cope with everything on a daily basis' ...Then, we should visit our doctor..So I did just that recently & came away feeling worse than when I went in - I have long term PTSD & social phobia. I explained I was having difficulty getting through every day, becoming overwhelmed by even the little things & that I'd been experiencing suicidal thoughts & extreme moments of anxiety - I spent most of covid alone in my flat worried sick like the rest of the country - with zero access to any of the mental health services I'd grown used to having. The young doctor I saw didn't seem to give two hoots about my feelings..Instead he shoved yet another packet of anti-depressants under my nose - (I refuse to take them because they dont fix anything, not really, they just keep you in a daze & I want to be cured not left to rot on benefits)..I asked if I could see a psychiatrist & was flatly refused!!I explained I felt there was something else that felt wrong & I needed a professional opinion - instead he just sat there & talked about anti depressants and how wonderful they are - I'm unsure he even noticed what I'd said??(I've read about anti-depressants online & they are addictive & don't work!!!)After leaving, Iwent home, I bought a big bottle of vodka (even though I don't drink alcohol) I felt it was necessary to stop the negative thinking..I'm now drinking everyday & I feel like I'm drowning in hopelessness. It's now two months on & I'm feeling so messed up - the thoughts about killing myself are constant - I can't take it any longer - so I've decided to leave the surgery & go elsewhere to seek medical attention - I'm 57yo & age has caught up with me too..SHAME ON YOU.. shame on you!

Very incompetent staff and lazy, after Covid they are more lazy than ever, they do not care about patients, they love to keep the door shut and have less trouble to deal with, when you need to speak with the Doctor they are good to obstacles your needs, horrible service I hope they will change staff ASAP!

Fantastic doctors. Very quick diagnosis of my husband's serious illness which could very well mean treatment is successful. Also kept very safe during covid. Reception staff have always been lovely. Best drs we've ever had.

Very bad experience offered by reception today, specifically by the old receptionist - the younger one is quite polite and always helpful.I am pregnant last trimester diagnosed with gestational diabetes, having ongoing medication which I cannot interrupt, although I requested medication and made her aware I will need it as soon as possible, I was still asked to come complete a form to the clinic and expose myself during COVID 19 situation..no alternative form of completing it online or being offered a doctor telephone consultation, as previously have been offered and also no guarantee of having the medication the next day.I would strongly advise her to consider some courses on how to speak to clients and how to triage patients or just to orient herself to a different field.Otherwise the doctors I have seen have always been brilliant and the surgery itself is clean and welcoming.

Extremely happy with telephone diagnosis from Dr Khalifa who understood the problem instantly.I had been to a pharmacy and an optician for help but sadly useless. The drops Dr Khalifa prescribed eased the issue to my relief . A great addition to Canna Surgery.
