When the harness I wanted wasn't in stock at Washington, a staff member phoned nearby stores. The Consett store had one in stock and kept it until I arrived. Excellent customer service.

Took my dachshund in for a nail trim and paw pad tidy up. Got told by the lady that she couldn?t pick up a 9kg dog so would have to get her colleague to lift him onto the table. She took him in and the colleague proceeded to lift him and hold him while she tried to clip his paws. His back was dangling down and he was not supported at all as a dachshund needs to be. I had to knock on the window and just told them to stop. The lady came out and said they can?t lift because she is pregnant and her colleague recently had a stroke, this is terrible from
Pets at home as they should not be left alone to work together. Saying that, there was a huge poodle on the other table. We then took our dog to K9 grooming which is in concord and we would highly recommend going there instead.

Pets at Home used to be way more lively, with a bigger variety of animals that made it feel like a proper experience. Now it?s a bit bland in comparison, but it?s still a nice place to pop into. The hamsters are absolute spoilt little sh*ts?so cute but definitely running the show. There are some nice fish tanks too, though honestly, the little fish are only fun to watch for about three seconds before you move on. Overall, still a decent spot if you want a quick animal fix.

Staff are helpful and friendly. They always have a good amount of stock. The animals in there always seem well cared for.

Staff very pleasant but very disappointed with the grooming . Apparently when the scissors went near her face she didn't like it. She came out with her face a real mess, Hair still in her eyes long tufts under her chin and ears had not been touched. Waste of money.

This is a high class specialist grooming service where your pet will be treated with respect by caring and skilled professionals who achieve incredible results due to their exceptional training and wealth of experience, and just, well, being genuine nice people!
I took my two nervous but high energy dogs yesterday and Hope immediately charmed and reassured them whilst discussing at a very high level their coat types, maintaining their look, well being and hygiene, a totally holistic experience for them in their very best interests.
Reassured ourselves, we dropped our dogs off and had a lovely mooch around local shops then picked dogs up and Wow!
Hope totally transformed my dogs appearance, I never realised my two bo-ho dogs could look so elegant!
Not to mention the SPOOKTACULAR cuts and accessories (ask about this)
I'm so proud of my dogs, and grateful to the dedicated Hope for her professionalism, she's a genuine carer and star

I have been into the Galleries pets at home this afternoon with my two scared jackawowas to get there nails clipped and the two ladies that done them was very gentle and kind and made it a better experience for them than at another doggy groomers ....thankyou ladies see you in two wks. Also gave me advice I didn't know...thankyou ??

I do not recommend it. The dog came into the salon with a ponytail and left without it. The ladies wasted a year of our work taking care of her hair. The ears were two centimeters different in length. The dog had a terrible haircut.Guard your dogs.
