“Very easy to find your way around. It's well laid out. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Nothing a bother and we had a laugh because I was too short to reach some products and I said the should introduce a short people shopping service haha. Lots of excellent prices and deals. It's well stocked.”

“Staff are very helpful, more self-serve points to go to now. Great place to drop off batteries, old water filters, and now plastic.
Just wish they were nearer doors, so get rid of them prior to shopping. Well done Sainsbury's for leading the way.”

“This store definitely deserves the five stars I have given the branch of Home Bargains in Blandford Street, Sunderland. The staff are so lovely and helpful they will do their very best to help you find an item and also inform you of the Special Offers currently on sale. The girls are always mega busy but they always have a smile on their face no matter what. I really enjoy going into the store as it’s always a pleasure, never a chore. Well done ladies. You certainly deserve the 5 stars!!Shirley Morse”

“The Iceland store in Sunderland offers a decent shopping experience, with a good selection of groceries and essential items. While the store certainly has its merits, it does display signs of being somewhat dated. One of the standout features of the Iceland Sunderland store is the wide variety of frozen foods available. From frozen vegetables to ready-to-cook meals, the store caters to those looking for convenient and affordable options. The prices are generally reasonable, making it a budget-friendly choice for many shoppers. However, it's hard to overlook the fact that the store's interior and layout feel a bit outdated. The decor and shelving appear to have remained largely unchanged for some time, giving the store a somewhat tired and worn appearance. This can affect the overall shopping experience, as a more modern and organized layout could enhance customer comfort and navigation.Additionally, the store's checkout area seems to lack the efficiency and technology seen in newer supermarkets. The absence of self-checkout kiosks or contactless payment options can lead to longer wait times, especially during peak hours.Despite these dated aspects, the Iceland Sunderland store remains a reliable option for grocery shopping in the area. The diverse frozen food selection and competitive pricing make it a valuable resource for customers seeking affordable meal solutions. However, an update to the store's interior and technology could certainly elevate the overall shopping experience.”

“Friendly staff. Food mainly caters to older people. Only Heinz Soups no Co-op soups. Not as many co-op goods as other Costcutters. Toiletries mainly top brand high priced.
Should have a similar selection as Costcutter Sunningdale Road, Sunderland”

“The staff make the place - absolute credit to the company, I pass 2 other shops and go there. Always happy and polite, if you need a hand finding something they'll take you over and show you where things are and they let you know if something's on offer too so you don't miss saving a few quid.”

“Joined to a petrol station so it's ok if you just need necessities or snacks, it does have a good variety of products, mainly tinned and boxed items, not much in the way of fridge lines. It does have a subway takeaway inside the shop also. The staff are always attentive and very welcoming, the service is always efficient.”
