“New Look are great. They are a well know ladieswear brand which cater for all shapes and sizes. The South shields branch isn't a particularly large branch so they do not sell all of the petite/tall/inspire ranges that some of the larger stores stock, but they do have a nice selection of clothing for the average lady. Their prices are competitive and the quality of the clothing is generally good. I would not recommend the shoes for everyday wear as they are quite cheaply made in my opinion, though they are cheap and cheerfully priced too so are durable enough for a few nights out on the town! They also do student discount of 10% with a valid NUS card, however this discount does not apply if the item you are buying is already reduced. I have never had a problem with any of the staff or with returning any items - you are dealt with politely and swiftly.”

“Came here on a work call, nice compact store, with all the usual products you'd find in Superdrugs. Parking in front, and around shopping area though it is a one-way system . (It's the shops they pass on GNR day,).”

“I placed a 30minute collect to store order online yesterday and like a donut did it to the wrong store. Contacted the online department who never got back to me. So I rang the store today and spoke to a lovely person called India (sorry if spelt wrong). She went out of her way to help me. Checking with different people to see if she could cancel this order off and really doing all she could to help. She managed to cancel it for me and I’m so grateful. But even if she couldn’t have, I know she did everything to try. An absolute credit to your team!!”

“Nice cloths. Can be pricey, but quality is good. Well made and unusual designs. I wear a lot of glittery cloths and with diamontes on and frilly items, so my kind of store. I get river island vouchers for birthdays, mothers day, and of course Christmas. So end up spending around £900 a year if not more for holiday items to take away, ie, tshirts, maybe a dress or two, sandles, evening bag/ purse ectStaff always very helpful in South Shields store. Metro centre Newcastle is a lot larger so went there October 2019 with my £300 biryhday money. Bought a lot for my monies.So Christmas 2019 plan to spend my £300 Christmas monies there again, get even more on Boxing day sale, will be visiting the store in metro centre more variety of clothing.”

“Top notch service from Argos today. Reserved quite an expensive item which was on sale, however overnight the item was back to full price which I wasn't aware of before going in store to pick up and pay for. Got a bit of a shock at the till when they asked for £699 and I explained that at the time of reserving it was only priced at £499.
The young lad at the till was so good about it, he went to check up the price from the time I reserved and honoured my transaction at the sale price. The staff are so helpful, friendly and professional and put me at ease in what could have turned out a very awkward moment! I wouldn't think twice now about ordering more things in this Argos store as I am confident that it will be a breeze if I need something in a hurry instead of relying on Amazon and the likes. I like to shop as local as I can to help keep these fab lads and lasses in their jobs. Thanks for all your help today guys, you are champs!”

“Five stars for exceptional customer service.
I came in on Saturday 15th June at about 15.30 and was greeted by a young man in a white t-shirt at the top of the stairs. He complimented a tattoo on my leg and we had a great chat - he was friendly and helpful and brilliant at building rapport with me. He helped me find the item I was looking for and I went to pay. At the counter I had another great interaction with a young lady with multicoloured hair. She asked if I'd found everything alright and showed me to the fitting room so I could check the size. As the counter was in the Game concession, I asked about a video game system which wasn't even in stock and she took time to understand my interest and share her knowledge of the product and retro gaming in general.
This was an exemplary customer service experience. Both colleagues proactively engaged me, they asked questions to understand how they could help me, and they brought a bit of craic to build rapport. Please extend my thanks to them for making my visit worthwhile and fun!”

“Had some delicious chips from here with malt vinegar and my partnerhad chips with brown sauce and kids had fish finger and chicken nuggets deal the staff are super friendly and their customer service towards us and the kids was outstanding behaviour and well mannered my kids wanted mcdonalds but I liked the asda deal as it's more value and the lady gave good advice out and kids now listened to it and had their dinner their so thanks so much for your advice and help I hope yous all putting your feet up rest of tonight as was to hot in their look after yourself and thank you for our food asda cafe team”
