Avoid unless you like being told you can only take 300 pound of your own money out at once

Lad with the ginger hair and earrings is an absolute legend. Really attentive and canny really helps you and gives you great guidance. He is an asset to the branch and it?s seems like they would be lost without him. Didn?t catch his name but thank you kind fellow.

New branch and you would think improved service - but no, they have made it so hard to do business here. Having banked with Lloyds since my youth it is getting harder to go into the bank and just complete a transaction ie withdraw deposit or even make a transfer from one account to another - it appears to be a deliberate ploy to prevent customers from going into the branch ! I also feel that the staff should show respect for their customers and not be allowed to eat or drink when customer facing .
No standards -?where have they gone ? I don?t want an app on my phone, i dont want to do telephone banking. I want to go into the bank and complete a transaction with no fuss. Not sit for 15 minutes which turns into 30 and then more time wasted when my business could have been done in quarter of the time. Managers should get on the floor and see what is going on instead of sitting in back office and letting staff take the flack - listen to your customers- Michael Proud

This branch has completely closed down without notice. The new branch is opposite NatWest on Northumberland Street in Newcastle.

Very dissatified with llyods Banks service. Rude , not welcoming and not helpful. I stood in the cashier queue for more than 30 minutes just to get told they can't help me with my issue. Also the waiting times were so long and they only had members of staff at the cashier desk.

I went to Lloyds bank in Grey street, Newcastle to sort out some banking issues. I found the staff to be very efficient, professional and helpful. Rifan, who helped to set up my internet banking in particular was extremely helpful and patient. Thank you very much.

Came with my daughter to get a child's account opened and the Lloyds on high street New Castle said u had to book an appointment and only available was in September so we went to the one on grey street in town and they said come back at 1:30 which was only less than an hour away and they then opened an account for my daughter in less than 30 minutes! Staff that helped me had a laugh with us and were nice amazing

I visited this bank branch 2 times and was very dissatisfied 2 times. The first time I just wanted to put money on my card, I had to wait in line for a long time, since some ATMs did not work, in the end, when it was my turn, another ATM broke down on me, I had to wait 25 minutes until they returned the money that I had eaten machine. The second time I visited a bank branch was due to a technical problem. When it was my turn and I began to explain my problem to a bank employee (an adult large woman with blond hair), the bank employee point-blank denied that this was a technical problem with the bank and tried in every possible way to blame the problem on me, while I provided all possible evidence and arguments that this problem was precisely because of Loyds bank, my words meant nothing to the employee, she ignored me in every possible way and tried to convince me that this was not their problem. In the end, when it was found out and proven that this was a problem within the bank, the employee tried to solve the problem, but to no avail, and after all this circus that I had to endure (and this is 1.5 hours of communication with the support service and an hour of communication at the bank branch ) the employee did not even bother to apologize and admit his guilt. As a result, I can say with confidence that the bank?s motto ?always on your side? is absolutely not true. In general, the impressions from 2 trips were very negative. However, I do not rule out that I was just unlucky; I hope other branches treat customers more respectfully.
P.S. My problem was solved by a friend of mine who also works in a bank branch, only of a different bank.

Not enough staff, 2 desks on, queue a mile long and went down to 1 desk as lady was going on her lunch. Staff are lovely but have too many standing around greeting and directing customers instead of getting behind a desk and help clear the queue. The bank needs to increase staffing
