Absolute nightmare to actually speak to someone. Took me 5 days of multiple calls and being of hold for over an hour each time before eventually giving up. Was unable to find the answer to a simple question on their website , the AI chat just went around in circles. Finally got through and my question was answered within 30 seconds. Have noticed the reviews on here haven't improved since 2022 so they obviously have no concern or how terrible their customer service is. Have raised a complaint and submitted a claim for compensation for my time spent waiting to get through on the phone ... maybe others should do they same .....

I'm have been a happy Santander customer for both personal & business banking for +10 years. However Santander Consumer (UK) plc trading as Volvo Car Financial Services have been awful to deal with when returning my car. Giving just 1 example, in their Vehicle Inspection report they are attempting to charge me £405.21 for a missing part that my Volvo dealer charges £175.00 for. - Disgraceful!

Appalling service. Car broke down in November '22. Santander's inspector concluded that it was my fault but gave less than half the information. DEKRA then inspected and said that they had never seen anything like it and that there was no way that I could have done this. Contacted the Financial Ombudsman in Feb '23. The Ombudsman gave Santander a final letter in May '23 and I am still chasing twice weekly getting nowhere. An utter disgrace to customer service and never belive them when they give you a date that it will be settled..

Absolute joke of a company. Will not let me change my bank details because I?ve changed it once in the last year- customer service is abysmal. How these people have jobs is beyond me. Disgusting company.

Absolutely awful company. Not only do they not respond to emails but when on the phone , they are extremely rude and distasteful. Asking for help to then be patronised is not on , anyone would think where are the decent humans in the customer service department. You are the face of the company , zero stars are needed.

Terrible service from this company. When you call they just pass you from pillar to post. Very, very slow to reply to your queries. No e-mail address to write to. On the website there is a link to contact customer services that does not work. Why put something on the site if it is not available. Would never, ever use these people again for car finance. Would sooner walk away mfrom the deal.

Yesterday I was holding on the phone for 1 hour and 15 minutes and in the end I give up. And today i spend 1 hour and 30 minutes holding on again so i gave up. The company is very desperate full and do care about the customers needs they just want your money

A terrible company in all respects for customer service. Its near imposible to ring them, on hold for a very long while. Recording message every day said we are busy. No you are not you just don't employ enough people! The web site payment system in clunky and old fashion.Service very poor

After my car was written off my insurance paid a final settlement fee yet they still put a default notice on my credit score. I'd never missed a payment in 4 years. I'd kept them informed via phone and had settled over a week prior to the default!!!

I'd agree. I have been trying to make a final payment - the system doesn't work. My bank insist the last payment should be debit card. Just spent fifteen minutes trying to get through on the phone - no joy - just tried that chat function - still a wait. I am tempted to send them a cheque but then the postal service is also unreliable. So frustrating.

The worst company of Gods Earth. A group of disgusting individuals with no empathy and all going straight to hell. Reposessed our car after just a few missed payments. The company they used to get the car off us basically told my partner Samantha that she should kill herself. Complaint ongoing. I'd love to sue the hell out of them, but unlikely to get anything more than an apology at best...
