Incompetence on a scale that you would normally have to train for . Gave my mums tablets out to a person that was not authorised to collect them and hadn?t been authorised for over 4 years . They didn?t ask for ID either. We had asked for that persons number to be removed and was told it had been , it hadn?t and now all of a sudden they start texting this person. Girl behind counter was rather dismissive when I asked to collect them . Didn?t care that a stranger had collected them either. Also I?d like to add Boots is a private company owned by a larger American company it has nothing to do with the NHS other than it fills prescriptions . Mind you it seems to share the ability to waste money and be a bit inefficient.

Huge que in the shop, poor volume of products in stock chaos at the tills. Just walked out.

I know a lot of people moan about the Boots in Bookham, but I have had a pleasant experience with the staff here. From checking that I can get my prescription through to texting me to say that the prescription was ready for collection. The staff both times have been very pleasant and friendly . Well done Boots for doing what I?ve asked for ?

It?s like they want to go out of business. Unfriendly, inefficient, poorly stocked. Bookham deserves a better chemist on the High Street.

Dreadful service at this Boots -avoid if possible. The prescription service is notorious for making you wait for the simplest of prescriptions.

If I could give Zero stars I would have , Totally inept, nobody has a clue which is very worrying as they supposedly dispense controlled substances. Not for the first time my wife was told come back in 10 to 15 mins so she did and sorry not ready yet so she went back 1 hr later to be told they were just filling the prescription right then only to be told 20 mins later after she again enquired that the computer was down and they could not dispense any drugsI am a disabled wheelchair user waiting for my wife to collect me in the pooring rain because theese fools can't or won't do there job properly.I Will be making a formal complaint as this is a pattern of repeated behaviour.

This is the worst Pharmacy on the planet!!!I've changed my review because the waiting time is too long !! Disgraceful!!! I haven't had any problems with the staff they have always been polite .This was my old review:Good efficient service and well stocked . Closes for lunch between 13:30 to 14:30 .Opens at 9 am and closes at 6pm . Closed on Sunday.

Medication takes so long, sometimes because they can?t be bothered, as on a few occasions it was in store. Staff very rude. So disorganised.

Reasonable male pharmacist over the phone but absolutely incorrect information on the website on opening and closing times. It is a 13:30- 14:30 close for ?lunch?! Seriously rude staff otherwise.

The service is appalling as it is always excessively slow. Today (Friday 4th February) leaves littered the floor along with two used paper hankies. This is meant to be a chemist, a place of hygiene. Not impressed at all.

Appalling! Boots should be the emblem of our national pharmacy services however this particular store is awful in every way. I truly can?t think of anything positive to say in this review and it honestly pains me as it never used to be so prior to the pandemic. At present they are recruiting 3 staff members, an ongoing issue as in the last months I?ve seen at least 5 individuals start and soon after leave. Because of the situation, staff are moody and rushed, (despite having a 1 hour break during lunch when they close!!) and of course as they are only there a few days they aren?t knowledgeable. The dispensing chemist is generally a?locum? joining for a day or at best a few weeks so there?s no customer rapport. I?ve witnessed elderly customers being banned or treated rudely because they don?t understand why their vital medication isn?t ready or hasn?t been ordered. The worst experience was when staff couldn?t enter the store as they weren?t key holders and the manager (or whoever in charge that day) was stuck in traffic not knowing what time they would arrive. December 22-update; I wish I could say Boots Bookham has improved but the situation is actually worse. Two people last week were told their prescriptions had been lost and the customer service I witnessed was appalling!Rude, lacking emphathy and little effort to put things right. When is this store going to be inspected and improved?

I really do my best not to bad mouth any NHS service, and I have had good experiences with this store in the many years they were my nominated pharmacy. It is often the case one needs to ?play the system? (it shouldn?t be necessary, but it definitely helps at times). Unfortunately, as someone who receives regular prescriptions, the number of issues I have had with this particular pharmacy is beyond me now. Earlier this year I changed my nominated pharmacy to another local one (who, like many NHS services, is not perfect), and I honestly wish I had done so earlier. I understand that the system is strained to say the least, and that pharmacists and pharmacy staff bear the brunt of this, and like to hope Bookham Boots would be a lot more successful with the right support.

Staff (especially one of the pharmacists) regard work as an socializing opportunity (endless chatter) despite the shop being full of customers. No focus on doing their jobs nor providing professional customer service. Stock stacked up on the floor creating health (especially for senior citizens) and fire hazards obstructing exits (impossible to navigate for mums with buggies). When I politely gave them feedback having sat there for nearly an hour (when I had been told it would be ten minutes) they said ?I know? but no apology or even any excuse. Sat there so long I watched a shop lifter which I noted with a member of serving staff but they seemed completely unbothered/disinterested. A complete shambles!

Shocking experience a couple of weeks ago. Was waiting to pick up my prescription. An old lady in front of me was also collecting a prescription. The woman serving, Erika, was so rude to her with one word answers. The old lady was really confused and seemed upset. When I asked for my prescription she said it wasn?t ready. I explained that it was an emergency prescription as I had run out of statins and was assured that I could pick them up. (This was Wednesday afternoon). She just said ?no, come back on Friday?. And that was that. I did tell her she was really rude and unhelpful but this didn?t faze her at all. The pharmacist heard all this and said nothing and the young man in the glasses working there started to joke and laugh with Erika after I complained about her manner. I will never step foot back in there. It?s a disgrace every single time.

Our mum was receiving end of life palliative care. Several issues with prescriptions; medication being delayed in arriving for several days (being promised the next day) when we needed it urgently. Incorrect information given about drugs being dispensed by Leatherhead instead when the person on the phone didn?t listen properly. A lack of willingness to help. When my mum was in her final hours I had to go to Leatherhead for the drugs, which was distressing as i needed to be with mum/family to support them. Please can Boots Head office look into how they can improve this small store. Issues have been ongoing for years. Thanks
