“BEWARE of the sweet, car park ticketing lady!No problems with the Waitrose store; staff are always helpful and polite. Just a warning to never forget to pay & display. You can get a full refund if you spend over £10 (unlike some other Waitrose stores). There's a lovely, innocent looking lady who walks around in a hi vis vest. At first glance, you would think that she's sorting the trolleys, but she's actually dishing out tickets! She hides in an old, light blue Ford Ka, waiting to pounce. Hope this helps!”

127 Collingwood Cres“I love these kind of sell everything green grocers, but its quality stuff and fresh produce. They sell all sorts of fruit and veg, but plenty of other products too. Cakes, biscuits, cheeses, breads. Great place to just browse the goods. Only thing is they have great bread but it seems to be running out by the weekend :D but that's a minor quibble. Highly Recommended”

200-202 Worplesdon Rd“A useful petrol station and Little Waitrose. Some ready meals, small wine and beer selection, and crisps and snacks stocked - all of the slightly fancier degree that you'd probably expect of a Waitrose.Petrol prices are also on a par or lower with other stations I've seen in the area.”

61 High St“I don't often write reviews but I have been compelled to do one as a result of the wonderful service we had a few weeks ago. I came in to the store with my partner who needed some advice (as I am useless) and one of the staff members (I think Paola?- an Italian lady in Womens Wear) went above and beyond. She was friendly, and so helpful and made my partner's day. Truly good service feels so rare so see nowadays (that's why I felt the need to write this).”
“Good local store with basic range of products. Convenient for buying a few items but the higher prices for most things and lack of the range of goods of a full supermarket means the big shop of the week won't be happening here.”

112-116 High St“I had a good service this afternoon with Nick. He was kind and attentive. Despite the initial hiccup of two days ago, all went and I'm happy with my home broadband!”
“Sainsburys in Stoughton, Guildford is a great local convenience store with very well stocked items and friendly members of staff always willing to help especially Marrissa who is very friendly and helpful. I still think the supermarkets take advantage of there customers on the pricing of items for example a packet of crisps £3.30 but this is down to the companies being greedy and making huge profits and not down to the staff working in the shops.”

Ashenden Rd“About a week ago I fancied some Almond croissants from the bakery, but they look very plain so ask for some info to a lady working there, her product knowledge and communication skills were inexistence so I decided not to buy them . Yesterday (19.01.24) tried again , and this time I was much luckier not only had a proper description but the customer service level of Helenawas excellent, so I did buy the almond croissants. first lady 2 stars, croissants 4 stars, Helena 5 stars”

“'Great place as provider for snax and cider?Grand and good for our PuNK weekend, and with one of the staff we made a new friend.Great customer service & friendly much,It would be good to stay in touch. Thanks Guildford and your CO-OP store, we'll visit again that's for sure.'®️ ????????”

213 Epsom Rd“It's a nice little store. Very convenient after driving for a few hours from the airport and great for a few snacks. The customer service was really good, and the two men were polite. They had sold out of eggs but i guess that was reasonable as it was 11pm at a busy service station and the staff were really nice about it. It's a little overpriced but worth it for the convenience:)”

“Nestled at the top of Guildford high street, this site welcomes the visitor with a smattering of lost youths idly browsing their mobile phones, posed like statues around the entrance. On entering, one discovers the vegetables, always one type of vegetable conspicuously absent, as though the farmers, one vegetable at a time, go on strike in protest at harsh contractual conditions. This shop is too big to be a little local, but to small to be a supermarket. It is an OK-market, a whatever-market. All the customers look slightly lost, on the way home, but not home yet, ready to slump on the sofa, if they can only make it up the last piece of hill, past the estate agents, and in through the front door, orange bags rustling all the way to the kitchen counter.”
