“Excellent shop. Popped in for biscuits. Was pleased to find men’s shoe laces, which Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, and Homebase don’t sell. So it pays to shop and support local businesses.”

21-23 High St“Had really good customer service New Years Day from Adam. I was looking at Toasters looking for a four slot. I hadn’t even turned round when he asked if he could help. He then informed me that the last one had been sold and I could order online. I asked about the two slot toasters and how wide the slots were even before I’d finished asking he’d opened the box and was showing me the product. I decided to buy it and he carried it to the till area for me while I bought some other products. When I got back to the till area he picked up my toaster and took me to the other till area to pay. He was absolutely amazing and what a gentleman.”
“This is a really handy shop to have nearby. Always well stocked and lots of alcohol choice. But the highlight are the staff they are so friendly and polite. I've witnessed them experience abuse from youth/randomers they've had to put up with a lot and yet they're always calm and helpful...can't praise them enough really.”

17 Quarry Hill“What a pleasant surprise! I was to send off a parcel and have the label printed in the shop but realised that I didn’t have the QR codes I needed. This was my first time in this shop and Mr Patel kindly offered his help and I sent to him the level itself via email. He printed it out, stuck it on the parcel and sorted out everything. Massive thank you and highly recommended shop, as it has literally everything you’d need!”

101 Long Gore“Great little local shop, friendly owner + staff. Plenty of vape choices. Also sells tobbacco, newspapers, plenty of alcohol choices and handy selection of soft drinks, sweets, snacks and every day essentials for the food cupboard and household. Milk, bread and eggs always available. I use this one weekly, if not daily.”

The Stores“Useful helpful local village store.. usually has anything you reasonably want to buy food wise.. also has a post office.. parking is normally not a problem either.. Happily visit quite regularly.. just the odd member of staff will totally ignore any pleasantries at all.. & sometimes two.. that will continue to chat between themselves.. forgetting that the customer..eventually pays their wages.. Sad for any local village store.. ( not sure why they now have such a strange layout to move around the store.. So that Post Office now has its own bit.. but it doesn't work for the customer.”

7 Meadrow“The best little shop around, supported the community through the pandemic, always cheery and helpful and will have my business for many years to come . great selection of food and drinks.”
6AM - 11PM
Portsmouth Rd“My local store, staff are lovely and helpful, place is clean and always well stocked. If it weren't for the ridiculously frustrating self serve tills (which require more human assistance than actual cashiers would need) this place would be even better. Management need to bin these awful things, nothing but hassle and constant failures. I don't know a single person who thinks they benefit anyone. Plus, they don't take cash in the self service tills, so if you want or need to pay cash, you have to wait in a huge line to be served by one struggling team member. Not enough staff where they're needed!!”
8AM - 9PM
The Grn“The owners couldn’t be more helpful (maybe not perfect, but who is?). They work long hours and care an awful lot about their/our neighbourhood. Sadly they have suffered from racism. They did make one mistake (2018), and they were punished unfairly. The abuse they then suffered on social media was extreme. They are not ‘I.T. savvy’ and so couldn’t defend themselves. If a mistake is ever made (we are all human), then speak to them rather than attacking via a forum where they are unable to respond, defend, or correct any mistake. It’s called a convenience store for good reason, so I implore people to bear that in mind? I can only wish them the best, and thank them for being there at all. If I have to pay a little more for the ‘convenience’ of their hours and being in a small village centre, then I’m okay with that. If you’re not, then perhaps drive further and shop elsewhere? Thank you for just being there. ?”

45 High St“Convenient, open 7am to 11pm. Open on bank holidays too. Has everything you will need from milk to meals and booze. Yes, it is more expensive than the supermarkets but similarly priced to other convenience stores. It also accepts and recieves parcels for one of the main courier firms.”
“Excellent, patient service from all the guys in this gem of a post office. They can't be more helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. You guys are the best.”
