Would love to leave a review but unfortunately we were turned away after an hours drive as they stopped serving at 2pm even though the chalkboard outside said 2.30. Admitted that they confirm times may vary as we were told on concert days it?s 2pm, fair enough JUST RUB OUT THE 30 on the chalk board on concert days so we all know where we stand!!

Duck was nice, fish and chips small and overcooked, and the scampi the smallest in the world! Squid ink mash a creative delight. Comfort and service could definitely be improved. Would be reluctant to come again?

We were quite late for lunch and the pub was quite busy but they found a table for us and looked after us really well. The menu was varied and there was a specials board with more choices. Three of us had dressed crab and 1 person had their burger. The meals were excellent. The pub is dog friendly so you can sit inside or out. Snape Maltings, which the pub fronts, is also worth a visit and you can walk along the river.

Nice country pub with very good parking and facilities. Pub was clean and service excellent, very friendly. Food was really tasty and restaurant standard however the portion sizes a little small and the wine, whilst nice was q little over priced. On the whole I would recommend especially for a special occasion.

Sat at the table and waited 25 minutes before someone came to take our order / ask if we wanted drinks. Long wait wasn?t acknowledged. We said we?d been waiting a long while and we were told sorry, but they were busy. A large table had arrived about 10 minutes after we got there, but otherwise it was quiet when we arrived. Service poor.

Poorly overcooked swordfish .Long wait for replacement . Service not what I would expect seeing as how the service in the other two establishments in Snape and Aldeburgh under the same management is second to none .
Only upside , it is dog friendly.

We love the quality of the Sunday roast here. I do however find the portion size a bit small. It's not like vegetables are expensive - if you're reading this please ask your chef not to be so tight with the veg. Otherwise fantastic!

We had dinner here last a couple of days ago just before going to a concert at Britten Pears. We hadn't booked a table and although they were very busy they kindly made up a table for us. Good selection of beers on tap and the food was lovely! Staff are very efficient and friendly. Will definitely be back next again.
