A lovely pub/restaurant, they were very busy but still remained friendly and attentive. Food was lovely. Would definitely recommend.

As we did not want to eat at the Ship Inn where we were staying we found this place nearby. A lovely warm welcome (unlike the Ship), and a decent menu with a couple of veggie options (unlike the Ship). Had a pint of the Abbott bitter which was a really good. We always eat at the Plough and Sail if we are in the area because the food is always excellent (we must have eaten here 30+ times and the food is always 10/10), it is great value for money (considering the quality of the food) and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The Plough and Sail comprises of a spacious restaurant, the original older part of the pub (of which dogs are welcome), including a cosy snug, and an intimate balcony area, perfect for private parties. There is also seating at the front of the pub and a courtyard area at the back where warm summer evenings and lazy Sundays can be enjoyed. We hope to see you soon!
