“Great shop and staff but the oatcakes which used to be really good are now awful and same goes for the sandwiches. You know those terrible bacon bits type oatcakes, well they're those and they taste really bad.Still a great shop though.”

“I've shopped here for a number of years. It's not my most local One Stop, but I find it hugely better than the one nearest me on (Blurton Rd). It's always very well stocked, with the right products needed, and good supply without fail. The store is always nice and clean, organized, and the staff always really friendly as well.”

“I like it. It does cashback at the till, which I find the safest way of getting cashback, bearing in mind Tesco have stopped cashback at their main tills, which says alot about Tesco”

“I was taken ill when I was in Tesco I have never met such wonderful people. A very pretty young lady got me a seat and made me a beautiful cup of tea and stayed with me until I could continue shopping 2 gentlemen came and checked I was ok. These people were fantastic to me and when I was ok and checked out a another pretty young lady checked me out and packed my bags for me. The staff in Audley Tesco could not do enough to help me. I was on my own and I was treated so well by”

“Brilliant little tesco, especially when it's a bank holiday! We went here on a bank holiday Monday after realising Tesco Extra in Longton was shut - we managed to get 95% of things we needed, including veg and cat treats! I'd definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to do a simple tesco shop :)”

“A great local supermarket for me. It is only a small store but offers lots of luxury products as well as everyday essentials. It has a pick-up point for Argos ordering. Ample parking and a cash point, too. I love this store.”

“This store is what customer service is all about. Wether it is over the phone regarding help with hermes parcels or in-store with a vast array of product. Got everything i needed didnt have to go to morrisons. The charasmatic young gent who served me, was informative, helpful and great at sell through. Didnt get his name but he had lovely curly hair. Worked in retail management for years pleasure to shop there.”

“Full disclosure, my mother was close friends with the staff and worked there at one point, so I'm probably biased. It's our local cornershop. It has plenty of alcohol, snacks including cheaper or traditional sweets, vaping stuff. It has local milk, bread, loo roll, soft drinks. Prices aren't ridiculous. In summer it has a slushie machine (although the owner is stingy and turns it off some days in late summer to save pennies, outrage! (Tongue firmly in cheek))Staff are helpful and willing to chat about anything if it isn't too busy, and it's good conversation.Disability info: No disabled access but staff willing to assist in reasonable ways. You can park on the curb right next to the shop to reduce distance, but you'll have to climb a step and walk around the shop. Thankfully my disabilities allow me to do that still. It's an old shop so it's understandable. If you need full disabled access, the village store is mildly better for wheelchairs, or go to Alsager for ASDA.”

“I can't possibly thank the staff and customers of Penkhull Co op enough. I was walking Bindi the lurcher on the Croft when she was spooked by a firework,in broad daylight. She raced off at top speed, which is really fast, and I puffed after, being directed by various people I saw on the way. I had horrible visions of traffic accidents, but when I reached the Co op I was ushered inside,to see Bindi surrounded by a host of admirers, staff and customers, totally unhurt. Everybody, you were all so kind,to Bindi and to me. A thousand blessings to you all. (By the way,I love the shop too!)”

“Called in today to get a sim card for my disabled sister and Lily who was manning the mobile department was extremely kind, helpful polite and super proffessional. We were having difficulty but she persevered and nothing was too much trouble for her. A credit to the store.”

“It is what it is, a small chain grocery store. Smaller than their semi-related Tesco Express chain but always well-stocked with most things you could need in a pinch - bear in mind that they don’t stock Tesco own-brand household goods anymore so you will pay a premium for branded goods. Has its problems with shoplifting but you could say the same about every grocery shop in Stoke-on-Trent nowadays. I have a few friends who work there and the rest of the team are always friendly. The only issue I really have - and this is not reflective of the Fenton team - is the company’s focus on online delivery services like Just Eat etc. - the company have not invested in man hours to cope with this. This has the double knock-on effect of leaving in-store customers waiting for service, while the assistant on shift is run ragged and can more easily make mistakes, leading of course to unhappy online customers. The team put on a brave face which is admirable, but the way it’s been described for a job that essentially pays minimum wage is ghastly.”
