If this spa retreat cost £20 I would say it?s worth the visit but given the price we paid, it was quite disappointing. There are only two showers and one toilet in the women?s changing room, and due to the way the time slots are scheduled, everyone ends up changing at the same time, making the space overcrowded and cramped. The staff did not give us a tour or explain how any of the features worked (shower wheel). Additionally, when booking the spa, it was implied that the beach hut room was included in the price, but was an additional charge of £15. Considering you pay less at the Bath spa where it?s triple the size with better amenities I do believe this place is a rip off. The only positive is the jacuzzi and sun chairs (great for the summer).

We went to the spa, and it was quite underwhelming. There are quite a few niche experiences in the spa, so would have been nice for them to give us a small tour and brief description of what was there when we arrived rather than leaving us to our own devices. The changing rooms are unbelievably small, with just one toilet and was packed when everyone has to leave at the same time. For the price we paid, this was disappointing, there isn't even a steam room. Thankfully, the weather saved the day so the outdoor hot tub was great and food was great too. Wouldn't return.

Friendly service, banging chips (pie and seasonal veg), relaxed warm atmosphere.
We had a hearty meal, a pint, and we played some of the games at the bar. Just what we wanted after a day on the hills and before heading back to our windy camp site.
We didn't use the hotel.

What a wonderful place for a meal, we haven't stayed overnight, so can't honestly rate the rooms. Dog friendly in the bar area, also there's seperate restaurant area. I only had garlic mushrooms on sourdough as a starter and my boyfriend had lasagne. My starter was tasty, but sourdough was nearly invisible, nearly asked why it's not on the plate. Sauce from mushrooms made bread soggy and I couldn't taste it, ratio was definitely uneven, like 1:3 ? reason this is a 5 star place, is the view from the back garden, where you can find plenty of seating options and the view to Hen Cloud Hill and other areas of the Roaches. Also managed to see a sunset, was on the sharp left side, but still great

Loved our little night away. We stayed in room 106 for my 50th and the place was beautiful abit tired but still beautiful. The staff were all very lovely. The only thing that let it down was the evening meal. I had the veggie lasagne which was ok and my partner had the burger. After we had our meal the plates were cleared and noone offered further drinks or dessert which we would both have liked. So we asked for the bill and went back to our room. The staff in the spa were just perfect. And it was beautiful. The hot tub made the night and the fact we could use it till 11pm. The 4* are for the spa staff and reception and bar, the food service would give a 3*.

We had a fantastic time as a group of 6, with the chosen spa & stay package. This was part 1 of a hen weekend, with family. Creating a relaxing atmosphere, with fantastic food in the evening & breakfast the following morning. Lovely rooms, with the additional bonus of being able to stay in the hot tub garden rooms, which we highly recommend. The whole party had a great time, thank you for giving our Hen a great start to her weekend.

Had a fantastic experience at The Three Horses! Meg was especially lovely?so welcoming and attentive?and the rest of the staff were just as polite and friendly. It?s brilliant that they serve a carvery until 8pm, which really sets them apart. The food was great, the atmosphere was warm, and the service was spot on. Couldn?t ask for more. We?ll definitely be back!

Afternoon tea and over night stay!!! Afternoon tea was booked for 17 people back in March for 26th July, I told the venue that it was my wedding day and I was only having small gathering, I asked if I could arrive in my wedding dress, and I was told yes that it wasn't a problem, I also had a superior room booked for myself and husband, the day before my wedding, I rang to confirm all was OK with the food as one of my attending quests has allergies, I was was told that it was OK, but I carnt wear my wedding dress now as they have another wedding, I was very disappointed to hear this, but I accepted it and agreed to take my wedding dress off in the room I had booked, before I went down for afternoon on tea, I was then told I couldn't get changed I my room as I was not allowed to wear my dress on the premises, so on my wedding day I had to get changed in the boot of my car as there was no were else for me to go with us not being local to the area, I was determined that this was not going to spoil my wedding day, we arrived with our wedding party for afternoon tea, the service was very poor and un organised, the food and drink came out at different times and in the wrong order, a staff member was rude when we asked if we could order drinks from the bar or did we need to get them our self's, the seating arrangement could have been planned better as we were all crushed together and some on other tables with our backs together, the food was lovely apart from the service, this still wasn't going to spoil my day, until later that eveing when I went to my room with my Husband, was when all the loud noise, drug use out side my room window, fighting, shouting, swearing until 3.30 am the police later arrived with blue flashing lights, to finally be able to go to sleep, then to hear the bride that was so worthy of wearing her wedding dress was the person rolling round the corridor screaming and shouting and causing all the problems. No apology or anything from the staff, I know that things can happen but I don't feel they didn't do anything to help this situation.

Where to begin?
The lovely views of The Roaches from the beer garden?
The glorious building itself?
The fine ales to choose from?
The marvellous food that is served here.
I am sorry. I do not know which to affirm first.
Perhaps you could help me choose by visiting and giving your verdict?
Go on. You know you will enjoy it.

Myself and my partner had a lovely weekend and well needed break. With use of the spa on 1 day, 2 nights 3 course dinner as well as breakfast. The meals on both nights were great! We couldn?t be happier with Deborah on the front desk who went above and beyond and really made our stay. The garden room with private hot tub was heated ready for us and the bed was incredibly comfortable and we had very peaceful night sleep! The staff were all friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.
We also used the opportunity being in the area to go to Alton Towers which was only a scenic 25 minute drive away!

Absolutely loved our stay here, perfect location, staff were amazing. The only down side was the uncomfortable bed.
