“Took my parents around Tutbury then finished off with a meal at this lovely pub. Second time for me and both experiences were exceptional. We were served by Beth & Mark who were both very professional, polite and very welcoming. I would definitely recommend. I feel very welcome and the staff are very friendly.”

“we have been coming here for nearly 30 years and have seen many changes over the years. I've been twice in the last 2 months. I've not been well and they have gone over and above to meet my dietary needs. I was unwell when I was there a few days ago and they were fabulous in taking care of me. I absolutely love the roof top terrace and have been 4 times since this opened. the staff are all polite, helpful and extremely professional. can't wait to return.”

“Met up with family (11) of us and they even catered for the dog with a water bowl put out ready. Didn't need to ask for anything as they had it all ready for us even with two young ”

“Beautiful room spotlessly clean. Hot shower. Nothing to say negative. Keep up the great work.

Rooms: Clean and comfortable. Blackout curtains and plenty of tea bags. All good here.

Nearby activities: Opposite supermarket so easy to get anything forgotten.

Safety: Each door needed a pass key so no random person is going to get very far.

Food and drinks: Set beside a restaurant bar. Generic menu that won't surprise you. I ate garlic bread and linguine which gave me trots. Breakfast next morning was nothing like the website pictures.

Noteworthy details: Rooms fabulous. Restaurant not so.”

“Great Travelodge. Bit tricky to get to if you're on the Northbound carriageway, you'll have a 4 mile drive passed it to get back in the Southbound carriageway. Receptionist was friendly, the rooms were good and very clean too.”

“Great budget hotel, lovely staff and comfortable rooms. I really recommend the cottage suites with the kitchenettes. 5 min walk from town with shops and restaurants and very close to the river so you can take a nice walk a long. Feels very cosy and has a lot of character. I’ve stayed here before and will again”

“I stayed last week for 2 nights and found the Golden Cup to be a very clean and friendly place to stay. The food was very good and the ample breakfast was served in their comfortable dining room. The Golden Cup has nice clean rooms, a beautiful garden and ample parking. It is people that make a place work, the staff here are good and there is a bright and happy vibe to the place.”
