This is a lovely example of the Waterstones stores across the country. It?s in a great location in Meadowhall so I?m assuming it gets a good footfall.
The store is light, bright and spacious with a good range of books, but also stocking filler type items such as little planes and a range of board games.
It would be nice if there were more seating provided around the store.

Nice clean store, found the book I have been looking for that has been sold out in my local Waterstones for so long! However my experience was ruined by a rude member of staff that decided to take her bad day out on me, not only did she tell me off for making a simple mistake of queuing on the wrong side (as did about 4 other customers) then blamed me for the confusion, when I apologised for my mistake she continued to tell me off instructing me to go to the back of the queue.
Earlier during my visit she had been storming around the store aggressively speaking on the phone whilst huffing and puffing making the environment tense. Not approachable in the slightest which really let down her other colleagues who were both friendly and approachable.
I do understand and appreciate people have bad days, however to take it out on someone especially after they have apologised for the misunderstanding was unnecessary.

Great selection, and staff are friendly enough, but the space is really not friendly for people in wheelchairs. There were whole parts of the shop that were inaccessible to me due to small tables poking out in front of shelves, piles of books, or narrow walkways.
I had to rely on the kindness of a fellow shopper who offered to move a table out of the way so I could reach the Sci-Fi section, and even then there was barely space to turn my chair around. Other sections I simply had to look at from afar as there was no way a chair was getting near them.
Not a great experience - it felt blatantly clear that people like me weren't considered in the design of this space.

Waterstones, it's a fantastic book shop with great staff and customers always willing to discuss books and give personal recommendations. What's not to like?

Visited waterstones today beautiful shop full of wonderful books for a bookworm like me it a kind of paradise lots of loverly children's books exciting games I have my eye on one for Christmas day the intriguing Agatha Christie bingo so many wonderful books on every subject I treated my self of course love mystery book at Christmas as to be said the staff are super helpful

Staff in here are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Store is nice and bright and tidy with plenty of choice.
Even if you cannot find that perfect book, there are a number of other items for gifts etc, games, stationary and the like.

Good Waterstones, lots of popular and current books out on display.
Could do with a larger poetry/classics selection.
Could have better wheelchair accessibility, the current layout doesn't leave much room for movement around the tables.
