The food is absolutely great and there are always great beers and ciders on tap.
We love the fact that it's roadside and you can sit outside watching the world go by while enjoying a drink and some food.”

“Stopped here looking for a Sunday roast. Unfortunately, not on, but there was a menu. So we stayed for a bite. Customers and staff are really friendly, especially our very own waiter, the pub dog. The pub itself is undergoing a renovation of sorts as it's a grade 2 listed building. Would be good to go back in 12 months.”

Children friendly place. Breakfast was fabulous.
Water ran slow probably because we stayed at the top most floor.”

Great service, always happy and attentive with great knowledge for recommendations regarding the restaurant menu and easy conversation. A true hospitality professional, which is consistent with each staff member I crossed paths with.

“The Old Creamery treated us very fairly when a bed we had bought about 2 years ago collapsed. They speedily replaced it with a better designed bed and took away the old one. Yes we did have to pay a nominal sum but they were polite and understanding. It was so refreshing these days to be heard and treated well! Would definitely recommend them.”

We were particularly impressed by the quality of the match the polishers achieved between the new chairs and our existing cherry wood suite. A first rate service throughout. “This hotel is a little gem. We held my sister in law’s wake there a few days ago. Meg’s organisation and attention to detail was exemplary, nothing was too much trouble and she was so kind and welcoming on such a sad day. The buffet food she provided and beautiful home made cakes were delicious and amazing. The barman was very friendly and helpful too. All the guests who attended were very impressed with this venue and I can definitely recommend it to anyone who wants excellent service.

“A fantastic choice of beds in store to try. Other stores only have a limited range so was great to see everything I viewed online there to try properly. The staff were brilliant and had a vast knowledge of all the products there. They were also very polite, friendly and patient. I left the store with a great bed at a great price. I will be back soon and highly recommend.”

“Spent a night here on route to Cricket st. Thomas. The reception staff are all friendly and helpful. Stayed in room 1, which was very nice. Had the meal deal for dinner and breakfast, which is at the onsite pub only for Premier Inn customers. The pub is lovely and appears in good condition, with decent background music. Was used lightly for dinner on our night and, as such, lacked a little atmosphere. After dinner we walked to a local pub, only 14 mins away to watch the darts matchplay final.
Large Asda just a few minutes walk away.
Good overall experience and perfect for what we wanted.”

“My 1st stay in a hotel I actually helped build not that long ago. The staff were lovely, the main building was okay. Some faults/snags in the bathroom and room itself. Plenty of parking, and easy access to what little the town has to offer..

Nearby activities: Cinema, bowl Plex, pizza hut, gym, town itself, a few local restaurants, bus station and 10/15 mins walk from pen mill train station. A country park for walks is also close”
