Lodging in Sherborne, Dorset

“Loved this hotel in a nice quiet peaceful location but still accessible to towns and villages nearby. Room was very nice albeit on the top floor but worth the view from the window. Room was large and so was the bathroom. There was a good breakfast choice with a nice view of the garden from the restaurant. Were very pleased with our one night stay and would certainly use this place again if in the area and recommended it to friends and family.Rooms: Our room was on the third (top) floor and was of a good size as was the bathroom. Be advised there are no lifts.Food & drinks: Had an evening meal here too which was well presented and had a couple of starters/mains choices as a vegetarian. The homemade ice-cream for desert was delicious.”

“My parents and I visited as they have just moved to Wincanton and had admired the pub during their visits before moving here.It was an impromptu visit on a stunning day after we had been pumpkin picking.They were very busy and we had not booked.They managed to squeeze us in and we are SO grateful.I had soup and a warm chocolate desert and my parents both had the roast beef which is the best cut of meat we’d all seen served in a restaurant.The food came in record time.The desert was exquisite!!We had a wonderful experience from start to finish from the gent behind the bar and our server; a fabulous Italian gent. Sorry to not have names!!Anyway I had to leave a review because it was a first class experience.Thank you team!!”
