“Great pub and local enough for us to walk to. Owner (John) and staff are fantastic (John can often be found mingling and chatting with his customers)
The food is absolutely great and there are always great beers and ciders on tap.
We love the fact that it's roadside and you can sit outside watching the world go by while enjoying a drink and some food.”

“Stopped here for a day due to traffic on the way to London bac from Cornwall. Lovely place and the staff isn't very friendly.
Children friendly place. Breakfast was fabulous.
Water ran slow probably because we stayed at the top most floor.”

“Very pleasant stay. Extremely clean throughout and I would highly recommend a stay here. Attentive staff and great food in the restaurant. One staff member "Jo" is exceptionally commendable. Great service, always happy and attentive with great knowledge for recommendations regarding the restaurant menu and easy conversation. A true hospitality professional, which is consistent with each staff member I crossed paths with.

“This hotel is a little gem. We held my sister in law’s wake there a few days ago. Meg’s organisation and attention to detail was exemplary, nothing was too much trouble and she was so kind and welcoming on such a sad day. The buffet food she provided and beautiful home made cakes were delicious and amazing. The barman was very friendly and helpful too. All the guests who attended were very impressed with this venue and I can definitely recommend it to anyone who wants excellent service.

“Spent a night here on route to Cricket st. Thomas. The reception staff are all friendly and helpful. Stayed in room 1, which was very nice. Had the meal deal for dinner and breakfast, which is at the onsite pub only for Premier Inn customers. The pub is lovely and appears in good condition, with decent background music. Was used lightly for dinner on our night and, as such, lacked a little atmosphere. After dinner we walked to a local pub, only 14 mins away to watch the darts matchplay final.
Large Asda just a few minutes walk away.
Good overall experience and perfect for what we wanted.”

“My 1st stay in a hotel I actually helped build not that long ago. The staff were lovely, the main building was okay. Some faults/snags in the bathroom and room itself. Plenty of parking, and easy access to what little the town has to offer..

Nearby activities: Cinema, bowl Plex, pizza hut, gym, town itself, a few local restaurants, bus station and 10/15 mins walk from pen mill train station. A country park for walks is also close”
