“Big thank you. On Saturday during the hot spell, my friend’s dad was struggling in the heat.. Lidl (Castle St, Taunton) was the nearest place to get to from where we were dropped off. The two managers Grant and Will and the staff were brilliant. They got him a chair and water and allowed him to sit there and rest.. they were amazing.. thank you so much”

“This is my petrol station, I use this on a regular basis, the wife and I use Tesco's every Monday and when we have finished the shopping, I head here to top up with fuel, It is also part of Morrisons and I tend to have a quick look around encase we have forgotten any thing. very friendly staff who always have a smile and a cheery disposition”

“I have severe sight loss and restricted mobility, I visited the store on the 18th March 25 and asked the young lady if she could assist me...she was excellent and took me to the required aisles, picked up the products I required then took me to the checkout....great service from her and she deserves recognition, unfortunately I never got her name being the idiot I am!”

“A well-stocked petrol station. A small issue with scanning Costa from the machine. Yet another coffee from the machine that won’t count towards the loyalty program. Staff is okay. The building is starting to look a bit worn.”

“I have recently joined the team at morrisons daily within the last few weeks at they work hard ..but since I've joined I've put my all in with great support and training and many customers leaving having made me so welcome to taunton .. apologies those who have experienced any issues with delivery's and items thathave not been able to put in your delivery .. but we will do our best .. thankyou to all customers who have made it alot easier to settle in xtx”

“Cycled toured through. Lots of heavily brainwashed customers still in masks. Did Boris not go into intensive care in 2020....(and become the first person to put on weight whilst doing so) Then weeks later was partying hard.... Maybe it wasn't that bad. Shame the economy is ruined from 2 years of printing money. Let's blame Russia.Nothing to see here.”

“We tend to use this store for bits and pieces, during the pandemic they were our life savers, without the weekly delivery we would not have serviced.Now we are back to normal, they are our backup for frozen, they are the best.”

“Great shop cramming a surprising variety of stock into a small space! Lovely fresh bread, vegetables and meat. Good array of cheeses, yoghurt and milk. Cereals, tinned goods, conserves, baking supplies, confectionary, cleaning products, pet food and, of course, selection of wines and spirits!!”

“We are currently on holiday in the area and popped into this store to get our supplies. Our trolley was loaded up and we were expecting to have a stressful experience unloading and packing at the till. However Debs the supervisor and Grace who was on the till were so friendly and helpful!! They assisted us to unload our trolley, fetched a second trolley to carry our bags to the car. We were amazed as Debs even pushed one of the trolleys to the car and helped put our bags into the boot. Such wonderful service- thank you very much Debs and Grace!!”

“Was actually really impressed by this convenience store. Reasonably early morning visit but very clean and tidy with well stocked shelves. Also boasting an abundance of extras like Deliveroo, Uber, Paypoint, Self service etc etc.Only slight downside is parking, which can be a little tricky as situated on a reasonably busy road.”

“As a frequent shopper due to the wife we have experienced the shop when it's quiet and peak times.

We love the clothes section of the shop which has child's clothes/school uniform, women's and men's clothes. There is a good variety so if looking for something quick then it's a good place to go.

The daughter loves the toy isle with many toys of offer the price isn't bad at all.

We love the sushi counter and sometimes watch it be freshly made. It's always good quality and absolutely love the salmon.

It's our go to shop due to the variety of food on offer.

Lots of parking with disabled parking out front and a area specifically for disabled parking. There is parent and child parking near the front of the store with lots of additional parking.

The fuel station is card only and is great for the quick little top up after a shop.

There is a McDonald's inside the store, toilets, currency exchange, ID photo booth and parcel returns with a cigarette counter.

Lots to offer in the store and the staff are normally nice. The tills work well normally though find it can sometimes take a bit of time for age verification to be complete if it's a peak time.”

“A real treasure trove of gadgets and gizmos - a gorgeous range of indian throws and ethnic lamps! A slice of the souk in South west sommerset. Dont forget to try the local kofta !”

“Arrived early for my husband's appointment but Jane was happy to see us straight away. Unfortunately, the prescription we brought with us was from Bridgwater Specsavers and was not easy to read.( the whole experience at Specsavers had not been easy!) Undeterred, Jane contacted Specsavers to clarify the prescription and was then able to assist my husband with his choice of glasses. All in all, a very pleasurable experience. Nice glasses at a good price with excellent customer service-nothing was too much trouble!”

“A huge supermarket with a massive clothing section and shelves stocked to the brim. There’s even an Argos inside. Whatever you’re looking for – you’ll probably find it here :) Spotlessly clean in every corner and the staff are super friendly. Definitely 5 stars!”

“Great to buy some things late in the afternoon specially on Sunday, they have plenty of fruits and vegetables and they have self checkout and fortunately I have never seen a cue here.”

“Great place to shop and buy provisions for eating and drinking. You can also order item online and collect them from the store which is very convenient and M&S are open till 8pm which helps people who finish work after 5pm.”

“Myself and a friend were being followed by a group of 18 year olds and we hid in the Tesco for safety. The security didn't let them in and the staff (a man and women) were so kind and reassuring, I cannot thank them enough! I don't know what would of happened if they weren't there to keep us safe. I wish I knew their names!! This happened on 30/11/24”

“Nicely presented store, helpful and friendly staff. Its so nice to have a full M and S store within reach albeit a long way to travel. The only ones within NOT an easy reach of Lyme Regis are Yeovil, Taunton, Exeter and Bristol. There's a food one in Exmouth and a not very good food one in Honiton at a petrol station. It would be a travesty if anything happened to the ones in Taunton and Yeovil. There should be new one for West Dorset, not less !!!”

“Let me start by saying I like Lidl. The price and selection of food is very good and the staff are on point. Now for the downside. I do buy a lot of cider as I live in the west country and it's basically a staple of the diet. Why does a single bottle of Lidl cider contain the same amount of gas as the entirety of Jupiter?. Left in a stable place for a few days, you may as well be flicking the top of mount Vesuvius. You slightly crack the lid and that's it, you've had it, it's all over the ceiling, the walls, floors and next doors shed. Just a word of warning for fellow Lidl cider drinkers. The parking is very good at this store.”

“morrisons cafe have no staff so they struggle day to day, having to put up with customers being rude cause they can't get the food they want, but it's no fault of their own its the poor morrisons management it treats staff like rubbish making either 1-2 people doing about 5 jobs, which is disgusting and against employees rights. I was in the cafe today and witnessed only 2 staff trying to cook,wash, serve food, clear up and do the till, the stress on their faces and one breaking down in tears as its too much. sort it out, treat your staff with respect and employ more, or I think it needs to go higher or shut it down.”
