Such a fantastic little pub. We travelled a fair distance to see a band (district7, they were great). It's quite a quirky little place with a collection of small rooms and an unusual bar, which is basically on the wall, so nobody stands behind it. Built c.1640 this traditional pub has remained in the same family for over 150 years. Affectionately known as Eli's by locals after the current owners' great-grandfather. Beautiful thatched building with flagstone floors and unusual as it has no bar. You will find a warm welcome, a good selection of real ales, farmhouse cider and craft beers. There is a large car park, beer garden, skittle alley and pool table. Regular live music events and a quiz night. Not serving food but has regular food trucks at weekends.
