Had some food with my friend whilst on a little vacation together and really liked this place. The atmosphere was cosy and relaxed. The staff were all very friendly and made you feel welcome. The food was also very tasty and a decent price. Would absolutely recommend a visit ??

Called in on spec for an evening meal and enjoyed very much. Traditional pub grub done very well and generous portions. 3 real ales kept well. Quiet and friendly, the locals chatting gave the place a nice atmosphere, Best of all was the service - friendly, attentive and efficient. We were made to feel very welcome. Highly recommend.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Good traditional pub grub. Prices on food are insane. £11.50 for a roast beef lunch!

100 out of 10! Very friendly and welcoming staff, beautifully kept historic building. The portion sizes are hearty and the food is out of this world...my mum had the lamb which she thought was the best meal she has eaten in quite some time, the accompanying gravy and mint sauce were also sumptuous.Thank you very much and Bliadhna mhath ùr!

Lovely. Sat in front of a log fire. Nice glass of wine with my son. Lovely pub in a lovely little village on Christmas eve. All it needed was snow for it to have been perfect.

Had a Sunday lunch, couldn't cut the beef as the knife was so blunt cauliflower looked as fought it had been on great floor. All the veg were under cooked, commented about the cauliflower to the young girl when she cleared the plates and was met with a blank face at a response. Done think I would ever eat here again.

We enjoyed a two night weekend stay as the start of my wife's birthday celebrations, with our son joining us too. We had rooms 6 and 7 which were spotlessly clean and very cosy. We had dinner one night which was fabulous - huge portions of homemade fayre and our two breakfasts were hearty and very tasty. The staff are very helpful and friendly. A perfect base to potter about Much Wenlock.
