“We booked the six course tasting menu and were not disappointed. It was fine dining at a reasonable cost - well worth their Michelin listing. We also stayed overnight and the room (one of eight) was very pleasant with a nice en suite. The ‘courtyard’ area is a delight with seated areas located amongst the planting - a garden room extension to your room - excellent forethought. The only downside was getting there - don’t take the southern route in (as we did) unless you like miles of green grass down the middle of narrow lanes (a sat nav talking point in the bar!). The northern route is much less fraught and the way we will go when we return for an afternoon tea!!! Well why not…..if it is as good as the evening meal it has to be worth the drive!!!”
