Went for a lovely meal with my husband and mother. Our meal was Freshly cooked and delicious. I had the seafood pappardelle, my husband had the catch of the day and my mother had fish and chips. Would definitely recommend.

We were a group of 10 and we had meals at the restaurant on two occasions. The food was delicious and Dale the waitress was just lovely! Everyone is so friendly and attentive. Loved our time in beautiful otter ferry and love the new and improved pub. Thank you x

Went for early evening food on a Sunday. A very friendly and warm welcome from the staff behind the bar, one of whom (Sheni?) was our waitress for the evening.
Prompt service, good food, good beer and attentive to both us and our dog!

Enjoyed lunch and two dinners food consistantly wonderful and imaginative .lovely friendly staff very dog friendly.On par with Inver though not as pretentious and applecross .i would highly recommend a visit followed by a bit of wild swimming in the loch

We dined as a group of five and ordered:
Oysters, cauliflower wings, foccaccia with tapenade, goats cheese, mussels, langoustines and tuna nicoise.
For dessert we ordered the posset, cranacan cheesecake and yorkshire parkin.
We had an amazing meal, it was one of the best meals we all have had in a long time. The staff were friendly, the setting was lovely. Sit in the bar or outside if you can for the best atmosphere. Well worth the detour and not too fare from the Colintrive ferry if you're visiting from Bute.

It?s easy to forget, living here, just how lucky we are to have a place like this on our doorstep. A proper treat in a setting that never fails to impress. If you haven?t been in a while, go. And if you?ve got visitors to impress, this is where you take them.

If I could put half stars I would. Do not make the journey here, absolutely awful, the service and atmosphere was worse than the food. More than half the menu was unavailable and we didn?t get spoken to till 30 minutes of sitting waiting for a menu. The restraunt was also nearly empty. Super dissapointing.

Second visit for us and even better than the first time. The weather was beautiful so we sat outside, the manager had the BBQ going and the kids could play while we enjoyed our delicious food and cold beers. It was extremely busy and hot but the service was still friendly and attentive with check backs and smiles.

The setting is just perfect with beautiful sea views. A warm welcome and excellent service. Now to the food....utterly amazing !!!...Langoustine to start were presented perfectly and tasted fantastic. Main courses were fish and chips and shoulders pork and belly pork. The fish and chips were not "just fish and chips" they were "Oyster Catcher fish and chips"!!!...my wife (who is a connoisseur of fish having been brought up in Orkney) commented that she hadn't had such thick, meaty tasty fish ever !!!...even the triple cooked chips were phenomenal. My pork was incredible, tender melt in the mouth shoulder and crispy well flavoured crackling on the belly pork. The pot of gravy tasted amazing together with the fondant potato, broccoli, and rhubarb. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the Owner/chef is an absolute genius. I couldn't recommend The Oyster Catcher enough, and experience not to be missed. ....Lastly, the cost of the superb meal made it even more enjoyable....they say you get what you pay for, but believe me they give you so much more!!
