I called in for a sausage supper and a burger . The lady told me that the burger would be deep fried and I told her no thanks . I got the sausage supper and a small curry and took it home . The chips where as hard as he'll and the curry , well the only words that could describe that was horrendous and that's bragging it . The sausage was just about eatable and total cost £9 . What a waste off money and time , I don't quite understand how so many people have enjoyed that sort off food or does no one care anymore about quality food at expensive prices . But I guess some people just eat what they get . An old man once told me , u can't teach stupid .

Great fish & chips & very reasonably priced. The black pudding was delicious as well. The staff are nice & friendly as well. Menus are all online & you can phone ahead to pre order to save time.
Parking: Loads of parking around the place on both sides of street & around the corner.

The coffee here is the best coffee I have had in years ? or ever !
The staff are great and this establishment has been going over 90 years. I met one of the founding owners who told me the history.

Stopped for lunch after driving from Bute. I had a baked potato with tuna mayonnaise which was lovely and my husband had scotch pie and chips which he said tasted nice but was a bit small. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.
