Lovely hotel which is a bit dated but perfectly nice. Our room was very clean and completely adequate for our nights stay with the dog. Bar meals are good as is breakfast. Excellent rooms and fabulous service. Staff very friendly and food amazing. Bar prices very reasonable and rooms large and clean. We were booked into the sister hotel which was sadly closed due to damage, the hotel manager recognised the inconvenience caused and couldn't do enough to make up for the very slight inconvenience...

We were originally booked for Mansfield Castle and got switched to this location at the last minute due to renovations being done. When I look at the reviews, it appears this has been happening since November of 2022 so it seems odd to me. Reception was wonderful, and she stayed for us to arrive at almost 10:30 at night,...
