We arrived at 3:35pm and the shop doesn't open till 4 but instead of turning us away the fella took our order and said there might be a wee wait ??????
Sausage supper was pretty good I'd say, certainly tasty, batter on the sausages was particularly well cooked

The red pudding was pretty good and well cooked
The Jumbo sausage is definitely nowhere near as tasty as the small sausages but it was decent and well cooked
Unfortunately the chips were a disaster, greasy, soft and well under cooked, both my wife and myself sampled 1 then binned the rest

Ordered only a small chips and curry sauce. When I returned home the chips was NOT cooked at all very disappointed and called to be told to come back . But wouldn?t waste my fuel to go back. Won?t be back!!!

Arrived 5 minutes before the 9 PM closing time, after a long drive. Shop was still open, and the young staff were friendly, despite probably hoping to clear off home. Two large haddock & chip suppers quickly cooked, and they were really good. Also what looked and tasted like homemade tartare sauce made it even better. Good fish, portions, service, and sauce. Recommended.

Went there last night on a recommendation. Ordered a king rib supper chips ,I must say we're good . The king rib, not so. It tasted nothing like what a king rib should and the batter was flat and not like a chipper batter at all. Looked more like something taken from a frozen oven meal and thrown in the hot fat. Next morning told the story. Not going back

On a recent holiday in Aberdeen we found ourselves visiting Chips on the Green, as our usual fish supper venue Ashvale has now closed down. We had 2 fish suppers, 2 pea puree and a bottle of Irn-Bru. Our first shock was this cost £25!! Sadly, when we got back to our apartment the quality of the food was not up to the expense. The batter on the fish was not cooked through and raw on the inside. The fish was quite a thin piece and the chips were not anything to write home about - the pea puree was awful. Safe to say we will not revisit this shop on our next visit up to Aberdeen. I feel sorry for the people of Portlethen as we couldn't see any other chipper around.

Stopped in tonight while out working. Walked in at 2050 and ordered a fish supper. A few minutes later the tv (while I'm clearly watching the half time highlights of the Scotland game) and lights get turned off. Guess they are shutting at 2100.
Got handed my food so got back in the van and started to drive on a bit and let the food cool for a few minutes.
Stopped to eat my food which was inedible. Chips tasted like raw Tatties and under cooked, batter was soggy and the fish was soaking wet under that better had no taste whatsoever.
If someone comes into your shop and your about to close just say so, I wish you had said that to me instead of taking my £9.90 and serving me inedible food!
I'll know not to bother stopping by this place in the future! ?
