I recently dined at the Inn on the Tay, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! The homemade Steak and Black Pudding Pie was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection – truly one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The setting is equally as impressive, with stunning views of the river rapids adding a unique and peaceful backdrop to the dining experience. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the evening even more enjoyable. Whether you're looking for delicious food or a beautiful atmosphere, this place has it all. Highly recommended!”

“Just returned from 2 nights here and it was absolutely incredible. Such a lovely place to stay. The staff were so friendly, helpful & welcoming. The room (a suite) was the most beautiful room I’ve ever stayed in with stunning views. The food was exceptional & amazing knowledgeable staff. It was faultless. Would give it 10 stars if I could!”

“A fantastic hotel - we drove a long way just for one night but it was totally worth it. The staff are really amazing, the hotel is beautiful, the location is breathtaking and the food is fantastic (and that is coming from someone who isn't a vegan). The rooms are comfortable and the decor is fun. No complaints!”

“Just back from a stay at The Pine Trees Hotel! It was fantastic, one of the best hotels we have stayed at! So clean and fresh! Very welcoming such a pleasant stay and the staff were so friendly always spoke even when just walking past! Food and drinks were just as good and the waiters were very attentive. Could not fault our stay and will 100% be back!”

“Lovely room and handy location. They don’t do food but do have a bar. There is an American style diner right next door which is very good. They are dog friendly and there is an underpass under the a9 opposite the hotel that leads straight to open fields and the river.”

“Currently staying here on a overnight deal and it is well worth the money place is lovely rooms modern, with extras like shortbread and hot chocolate, breakfast amazing variety of things, dinner very good and service is amazing staff work extremely hard and attend to every need wouldn’t hesitate to return and would definitely recommend to anyone also has a snooker room and singer on in the bar which other hotels have lacked and I’ve been to many”

“Had a great stay. Everything was perfect and staff were friendly. Good customer service. Very comfy bed and the food was amazing. Please ignore some of the bad reviews. Try Dunalastair yourself and make that judgement. Thanks, will definitely be back.”

“A solid decent meal post-drive to Edinburgh. We'd just arrived so were feeling tired but hungry, and the Veranda restaurant did its job. Good service eased a pretty pedestrian meal, but we did enjoy it. And the wine was pretty good too! Decent pastas and many of the dishes featured a smattering of 'traditional Scottish' fare eg haggis, salmon etc. The cheese plate was a bit ordinary, but hey ho: not our primary objective!”

“Brilliant evening with a couple of pints of Braveheat and a cigar. The place is so different in summer, compared with winter but just as welcoming and lovely. I miss the fire, but outside, watching the sun set was lovely. Always make time, when stalking to have and evening there!!”

“Stayed in the town overnight whilst I was travelling on business and opted for this restaurant for dinner. The welcome was very warm and despite not having the dish I originally chose, the alternative rump steak was absolutely absolutely divine. Great service, great food. Will 100% visit again if I’m in the area.

“Room we had was a bit tired looking, carpet had several stains of what it was I don't want to guess at. The shower in the bathroom was terrible, no matter what setting we had changed the shower head to the water just drizzled out almost down the wall, also in the bathroom was a dripping tap, all night it dripped.

Swimming pool nice, drinks at the bar, pleasant, staff all friendly and breakfast was tasty

The drains need some attention, that wasn't a great thing to smell or see on arrival”
