“We'd hoped to stay here but no rooms fit our dates so second best was to visit their restaurant, which is outstanding. Loved the fact that we were seated in the lounge to enjoy a drink, ordered at leisure in there, then called to the table when our first course was ready to be served. A simple gesture most restaurants aren't able to offer. I had a gin and tonic with Orkney Old Tom Rhubarb Gin that was a revelation to me, causing me to Google the history of Old Tom in the gin industry. What fun! Food was amazing (menu attached) in a wonderfully cozy yet classy room. Had a peach pavlova for dessert because hey, I'd never had one before! Heartily recommend!”

“Stopped for dinner - using one of the hotel moorings for our overnight visit. Excellent service, and great food, beautifully presented and cooked perfectly. Reasonable prices. Loved our visit.”

“We stayed two nights at the Perle Hotel in Oban. The rooms were comfortable and nicely appointed. It is in a great location, very close to the rail station, Cal Mac ferry as well as downtown shopping and dining. The staff was very friendly and incredibly helpful. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was excellent. We also enjoyed drinks in the hotel bar. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in a central location in Oban.”

“The room and its facilities were excellent: the bathroom to be commended: modern and user friendly. Breakfast very good as well. While the hotel does not offer a dinner option, there are good opportunities nearby. Thank you to the very helpful staff.”

“We stayed here for two nights with our dog. The girls on reception made us feel so welcome, and made a fuss of our dog. We had a room upgrade to a suite, which was much appreciated. The room was fab- loved the tunnocks on the tea tray and loved the Scottish breakfast tea from the Wee tea company. We loved the extras for our dog too. The view was absolutely amazing from our room out to the sea. Breakfast was lovely both days. We ate in the bar both nights too and enjoyed our meals thoroughly. The staff were so friendly. We would absolutely love to return here if we ever come back to Oban.”

“This is for the bar - didn't stay at the hotel. Only in Oban for a couple of days; we've been here both days. Kyle and Chris really know their whiskies! An excellent selection of whiskies as well as full bar with beer and wine. Great outdoor seating. No TVs, no sports, just a friendly, relaxing place. If we lived here, this would be our place to hang out. Can't wait to come back!”

“As premier inn go this is one of the better ones. Next to the train station, harbour and local bars and restaurants. Staff at check-in and check-out were excellent. Room was clean and tidy.Would stay here again.”

“Absolutely the best fish & Chips in Scotland, all very fresh, well presented and so tasty , also very friendly staff . Actually staff that give a dam , they interact with locals , tourists and and passers bye. Sit in or takeaway all cooked to order and well prices . Shout out to Anthony and I think it was Mary for helping out a few wayward tourists during storm Babet.”

“Had a lovely family meal, service was excellent & very attentive.Oysters were very fresh, well presented & very tasty.We had the Monkfish Scampi starter, which had a nice light batter followed by the muscles which were again fresh & served with bread, chunky chips and a light but tasty sauce.Well priced, suggest booking ahead to reserve a good table facing the bay, perfect for sunset views.”

“Isle of Eriska Hotel is beyond amazing! We felt like we were in one of the most beautiful spots in the world. The dining experience at the restaurant was perfect. The staff took excellent care of us and we enjoyed walking around the beautiful island and hearing the gentle waves. A truly lovely place.”

“We stayed here sort of by default - most places in the the surrounding area were fully booked - and we liked it so much. The staff was really lovely and they had a smoked fish and egg breakfast that my husband and our daughter said was one of the best things they ate in all of Scotland (and we ate well!). The rooms are nothing special, but comfortable. The shower had good water pressure and there is a pretty lawn out front.”

“My room was really comfortable. The window opened far enough for me to cool off (I run hot) and there was room for my bag. The staff wasn't super friendly, but they weren't mean or anything. They definitely didn't want me to check in early, even a few minutes. There's a car park behind, accessed from the street that curves around behind. There's a fair amount of room in it, but it is first come, first served and might fill up. There's an automatic gate on it that doesn't always work. The breakfast food was adequate and the breakfast room staff were nice. The lift worked. The location is very, very good - an easy walk to everything in Oban, including the station.”

“Just returned from a birthday road trip which included a two night stay at Columba and loved it. Room spotless and so spacious with great views over the bay. Breakfast was very good on both days. Staff very attentive and always there to help out . Of all the hotels we have stayed in on our trips to Oban this is our favourite by a mile .”

“The staff couldn't do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Room overlooking the Oban bay. Very clean and comfortable room. All extra facilities provided. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice.”
