“We’ve just came back from an over night stay with our 2 boys and small dog, we stumbled across this place just on the off chance and OMG what a find this place is amazing the views are outstanding it’s such a calming place to stay, the staff can’t do enough for you and we just loved it. “We stayed two nights at the Perle Hotel in Oban. The rooms were comfortable and nicely appointed. It is in a great location, very close to the rail station, Cal Mac ferry as well as downtown shopping and dining. The staff was very friendly and incredibly helpful. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was excellent. We also enjoyed drinks in the hotel bar. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in a central location in Oban.”

“Lovely quiet room. Nice bathroom although shower cubicle is a tight fit when your 6'3 and 18st haha Lovely little room for an overnight stay.Walkability: In the heart of the town and walking distance to Food and Drink and also the Pier and Promenade are just a couple of minutes walk away.”

“Honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough!!! The owner, John, is so incredibly knowledgeable. We each had a tasting and he picked whisky’s we both would love based on our pallets. With over 300 whiskeys to taste, I was feeling overwhelmed. But John presents with such a calming nature and when I described what I liked, he easily pulled 3 for me to try. All 3 were incredible. Emma at the bar was so kind as well, letting us take a photo behind the bar. Truly the friendly welcome I always feel in Scotland when I visit, but this was extra special. I cannot wait to come back, and will recommend this MUST hit to everyone I know visiting Scotland!! Thank you for making our trip so memorable!!”

“Very nice place, currently undergoing major building work, but that doesn't affect the bar/restaurant.. Food was nice enough, lovely views over looking the bay.. The Green Roof is the Oyster Inn, stunning views especially when we was flying over the top to come in to land.. Nice place to go for lunch..”

“Always wonderful. Friendly, professional staff with knowledge of the local are and ferry sailings. Very near the train station and most importantly..the ferries to the Islands. Particularly the Island of Mull.Walkability: This is one of the best hotels for walkers of all abilities.”

“On a coach trip to the west of Scotland, the driver recommended that if we wanted fish & chips then don't go anywhere else, we walked in the seating area was packed out, we waited around 15 minutes for a table, we ordered two haddock, one chips, two drinks and curry sauce, the food was exceptionally good, after chatting with the owner Antony? He said his grandad was Nories

Honestly if anyone happens to visit Oban and you fancy a bloody good chippy then don't walk past this place.

“Columba was in a great location and clean. A lovely hotel.Rooms: Our room was lovely. We had a lovely view over the harbour. Our room was clean and warm.Walkability: We were within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Oban is a lovely clean town.”

“First time at the Airds in Port Appin for a New Year's celebration. The location is a gem. The staff and manager were exemplary - attentive, professional and very responsive and helpful. The rooms, lounge, fireplaces and dining room were a real slice of west coast Scotland - lovely. The food was delicious. Loved the walk down to the pier and around the point....haste ye back ...we will!”

“The staff couldn't do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Room overlooking the Oban bay. Very clean and comfortable room. All extra facilities provided. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice.”
