“We arrived at this beautiful, quirky hotel following the recommendation of a friend who has stayed many times before. The setting is spectacular on the banks of the sea loch alongside the Crinan Canal. The hotel is a family run business and the family were incredibly welcoming. The artwork of Frances MacDonald and her son Ross Ryan adorn the walls. Decoration of rooms and guest lounges is understated and a soft country style. We stayed in a room with a terrace which was on the top floor (there is a lift if you don't fancy the stairs). There were spectacular views out over the canal system and also over the sea loch.We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel on both days of our stay. Food was excellent with a great choice including local seafood.Service was also excellent with all staff being very friendly and helpful. We will be returning.”

“Great budget hotel, room are clean with all the essential amenities. Bar downstairs is a plus as is chip shop,Chinese and Indian all with 5min walk.Rooms: Clean and presentable. Value for money with location in heart of town.”
