Exceptional service! What a fantastic company full of hard working and dedicated people. I am beyond pleased that this company exists.
My cottage is incredibly difficult, 1700s, grade 2 listed, no heating, bathroom or kitchen with a tin corrugated roof, whilst also being completely derelict. My last mortgage advisor could not find anyone to lend on the house.
After being turned down from every mortgage broker, I had lost hope completely. I contacted Buildstore and they not only found a lender efficiently, but also kept me informed through the whole process. As a first time buyer it made me feel at ease. There were multiple hoops to jump through to meet the lenders requirements in order to lend , and they tackled every single one.
The business model is fantastic, it takes a very stressful and overwhelming life event of moving house and they take care of every aspect including insurance, protection etc and guide you through the process. It was very simple to get site insurance sorted out, it made everything stress free, it truly is a well thought through company.
A huge thank you to Colin Telford, Chris Ewen and Caitlin Knox for doing a fantastic job. Their communication and commitment was fantastic, it?s great to know hard working and trustworthy companies still exist. I couldn?t recommend this genuine company enough!

Absolutely shocking service. It took 11 months to get our mortgage, they lost my passport and I had to duplicate information sent to them on numerous occasions. Such a shame they have a monopoly on self build mortgages.

Would not use these people again, our allocated person was worse than useless. Never read our emails and then asked for the information already submitted. Cost us time and money and our mortgage offer had more conditions than a NATO peacekeeping excercise! They then had the cheek to hound us for our fee and continually contact me to find out when we would be drawing down said mortgage ( to collect the rest of their fee from our provider no doubt!).

Avoid Buildstore => Having just completed a successful self build which required a modest loan my advice is to avoid any finance that involves Buildstore, Buildloan or other companies in the group. Cumbersome administrative delays in the stage release payments of relatively small % amounts jeopardised the project and required finance from other sources.

trying to get my birmingham midshires mortgage sorted, you say you cannot talk to them direct as you are a broker. My Solicitor gets a contact number for them from you to send documents, he gets told by them not to fax to that number.....nightmare....no mortgage get real guys, communication was good, now none at all, no return calls....help me!!!!!!
