“Stayed nearby and ate at the pub. So good we went back again! Very charming setting, super friendly and attentive staff, and the amazing food was well prepared and presented. The menu is varied to accommodate various preferences. The chowder was incredible, the fish and chips had the most generous portion of breaded haddock I’ve ever seen, and the drinks were delicious. Side note: if you can visit when they host live traditional music, do not miss it. It gets crowded, and for good reason.”

Service was great, local beers available on tap and a good range of local gins too! I can heartily recommend the Venison, skip straight past the entrees and enjoy with a pint or two of the local red ale brewed on the other side of the bay.”

“I went for sunday lunch today, it was delicious with generous portions and huge yorkshire puddings. With the hot weather I was worried the conservatory would be too hot but with the fans & windows it was cool & comfortable and we happily stayed for 2 hours enjoying lunch & drinks.”

“Recommend everything. The minute you walk in you get a very warm welcome. Had the Sunday Roast. WELL, I've never had anything like it. The Roast Beef was absolutely delicious. Melt in your mouth. Sticky Toffee Pudding was divine. Joan the Owner, is so lovely & friendly. She never stops & looks after her customers very much so. Most definitely be going back.”
