Wonderful shop! I've been researching to purchase a full dress kilt for some time and recently took my family on a tour of Inverness and made time to stop in. Great process - the two gentlemen measured and double checked my size and selection. I came at a very busy time, but there was no rush and they easily managed every customer. Highly recommend.

Not to be missed! Inverness has many choices for kilts and woven goods--they vary greatly in quality. Highland House of Fraser is decidedly of higher quality. They sew their kilts on-site and have a deep and quality selection for men and women. Seek them out!

Friendly and helpful staff selling quality garments, many of which are sourced and made in Scotland. All genders and sizes. One of the stores even allows for the observation of clothing being made.

Ordered a kilt and jacket while I was in Inverness in December. Measurements were taken and repeated by a second person to ensure accuracy. Timeline for order to be made and then sent to the U.S. was as expected about 2-2 1/2 months. Before they finalized the pleat, I was contacted to be sure the correct pleating method was used. Very pleased with the service. For context, I am ex military and a professional piper so I know my kilts.

Felt very uncomfortable straight away! I was even followed around the shop as if i was going to steal something! For this reason i just wanted to leave and not purchase anything. If you want customers a warm welcome is essential.

My wife and I visited the store during an afternoon rain from our hotel just across the bridge one summer recently. We had walked the Great Highland Way from Fort William to Inverness the previous six days and were bundled up still in our hiking wear and against the rain. I was wearing a Fraser Hunting tartan wool kilt , some hikers and matching hose. The two attendants in the store were perfectly dressed in kilt, shirt and tie, ghillie brogues. They were immaculate. Our wet state interfered with our ability to really engage with them and they with us. The space seemed more of an over the counter, on shelf type of shop.
The store is beautiful and well laid out. The highland wear and accessories on offer seemed absolutely first class and of the highest quality. I couldn't have been more impressed with that aspect of the house. We did not purchase anything however as we were quite interested in heading off to dinner after a quick peek. Also, I'm not sure if they offer custom tailoring. I'll be sure to stop for a second look when I am in Beauly this fall.

I was emailed 30 minutes before closing to inform me my kilt hire was late being returned. I quickly got to the shop 10 minutes after closing and was greeted harshly by all 3 members of staff. I had to pay £15 for being 12 minutes late, and at the checkout the manager didn?t say thanks for me at least running a mile to get it in the correct day. But actually went on for 5 minutes in front of the other staff members how I am such a bad customer and have ruined all of their days for being 12 minutes after closing?I have never felt so awkward and offended in all my life. Especially by people in their own business and profession to a customer that hasn?t done anything wrong.I will never be returning.
