We only stayed at the hotel due to the roads all around Huntly being impassable due to the weather. The room we stayed in was clean and warm but in need of updating, hence the poorest rating of the 3. The service was however 1st class, mostly due to the incredible manager Amy. She worked her socks off to get all the stranded people a room for the night and advised where people gould get food as the hotels chef was not available. Breakfast was great (whether it was a different chef or all the staff mucked in, who knows or cares as it was excellent)

Due to road closures, we had to find accommodation quickly. Staff were exceptional considering the circumstances. Lots of people stranded & they went above and beyond to help & accommodate everyone. Would highly recommend. Such a warm friendly atmosphere.

Out for a birthday lunch with friends. The food was really good. We'll worth waiting for. Poor chef was on his own and did really well.

Not worth the money at all.135£. top price is 50£ per night.Bath curtain is full of mold.Bath rack is almost broken.Only soap is available for your hand, hair, body.Veeery low power in the shower.Woman receptionist was very rude, she's fed up with her job.Breakfast wasn't served that day, and they don't care it was included in the price.Room and bathroom are decent size.(N°21)Not recommend and will deffo not back.I suggest to find hotel somewhere else, than this one.

Myself and some friends were staying for the weekend whilst attending a wedding. When we arrived we heard grumblings from some other wedding attendees that there had been a booking confusion. Thankfully our rooms were not included in this so we were able to check in. The rooms themselves were fine. The bathrooms could have maybe had a bit more attention given to them but it wasn't disgusting. The rooms were however lacking in a few things: there was no bin for a start, one of the rooms didn't have anywhere to hang clothes, and we all had to share around an iron and ironing board on the morning of the wedding. The beds were also clearly sourced cheap and were not particularly comfortable. My room in particular was also boiling in the evening even with the window open, making it difficult to sleep. Breakfast in the morning was also a bit of an ordeal. We arrived with plenty of time and that's definitely a good thing as it took between 10 and 15 minutes to even get served (despite the fact there were only a dozen or so people in total at any given time). After having our orders taken it took about an hour for the food to come out and even then it would only come out in small waves despite all of us being sat at the same table. On the last day my friend and I had time to go back to our rooms, get showered and completely pack up before the food arrived. The food itself was very tasty and clearly sourced from local, fresh sources. We were brought toast to "tide us over" but no plates so it mainly had to sit there going cold as the staff spent most of their time in the kitchen. I can only assume they had about 1 hob and had to cook each item individually as it shouldn't take an hour to do a friend breakfast. I do need to stress though that the staff, when we saw them, were very friendly, polite, and apologetic for all the issues we had been experiencing. They seemed clearly aware of the issues present. From my understanding the hotel was recently sold and perhaps the new owners are struggling to catch up with all the issues that had plagued the last establishment. Overall I think for what we got the price was way too steep at £140 a night.

Rooms small and dated. Ensuite tiny. Hot tap difficult to turn on/off. The door was off its bottom track. Management not willing to listen to our concerns.Service was slow at breakfast, very disorganised. Breakfast was however very nice and well cooked.

This hotel must be avoided at all costs until some drastic renovations takes place. Our party of 10 (5 rooms) had booked for two nights to attend a wedding locally. One hour before we arrived we were informed that two of the rooms had been flooded and the two couples would be moved to the bunk house, when they went to see it it was absolutely filthy, on top of that they were told to keep the exterior door locked as homeless people sometimes use it. One couple booked into a guest house close by the other travelled back to Aberdeen to travel back for the wedding next morning. The other 3 couples had no option but to stay in the hotel which was like a haunted house, the place was deserted no reception no bar only a really bad smell. Cheerz the cafe bar next door was where we had to collect the keys. When we got to the room it smelt better but there was no water coming through the sink taps and the water in the shower was scalding hot, no temperature control. We came back from a brilliant wedding to find the bed wasn't made up and no fresh towels. We went next door to Cheerz for breakfast which was all freshly made and hot and the staff were really nice, the only good thing about our stay.Rooms: Awful

No carpark for the hotel ,outside the hotel is pay and display from 8am-5pm and the side roads are freeCheck in is in the bar next-door,Most info given.Front of the hotel looks very very run down and the inside is in need of repair in some places. The room was up two flights of stairs .It was a small room and shower room was smaller!Breakfast included and absolutely spot on but served in the pub next door. They Don't do evening meals but there's a couple of restaurants and takeaways close by.Unsure if it WiFi!Shower was okBed comfortable enoughThin curtains lets to much light inThe fire alarm went of at 4:15am so an early wake up call !The price they were asking was at £120 but it was definitely not worth the price!!More around the 50 pounds mark would be more suitable!

It?s more a bed & breakfast then a hotel, it has a new owner that is trying really hard to renovate and keep the place in better shape. The rooms are ok, bed is comfortable but the setting is more like a 2 stars. All the staff are amazing they will go out of their way to help and make you welcome, and the bar attached to the hotel ?Cheers? is almost like the infamous cheers bars with the local and everyone is welcome and had a great selection of alcohol. They have a very nice traditional breakfast but only if you make it on time, the last day of my stay there was no meats left so got two eggs and toastThank you for making my stay welcome

Avoid like a Covid Out Break, First impressions of the out side was what the Hell have we booked , its tired and outdated exterior greated us, As we walked in to the main entrance we were greeted with a closed reception desk with a closed blind and a smell I have never encountered before, and I've done a few jobs in my life. We made the decision to ask at the pub next door about our booking and to be fair the bar made was nice I can't falt her, she gave us the room key and told us where to go but they weren't serving food this night, thank God the local Indian restaurant got our custom. On inspection of the building it was as tired on the inside as it was on the outside. The floor was moving in places under the carpet. Fire door not closing on the landing and the fire escape door on our floor would need to be kicked open in the event of something happening. The room was clean but am glad am close to my partner as the toilet door in our room slid close and we had to put the TV up loud when It was in use. We never went for breakfast, so we could make a quick escape in the Morning. It's well over priced for what you get.
