A lovely place for a visit, with a pretty decent cafe.

My family held the wake for my father at the Cafe on The Mill in June 2025. Rosie and Barnie were generous, supportive hosts and created a very welcoming atmosphere. The venue was perfect, accommodating a crowd of around 100 people. The food was excellent. It's such a picturesque spot, by the river. Every time I've been to the cafe since, it's been a pleasure to see it thriving. What an asset to the community. Big thanks to all the Mill from the Turnbull family.

The day we visited was a celebration of local crafting & we were invited to give it a go. Great day followed by tasty treats in the cafe

The grounds and buildings are so charming and offer tons to do. The cafe on the ground floor is welcoming and has delicious food. The museum on the 1st floor has information about the area and the original mill. And the bookstore/gallery and shop on the top floor can suck you in for ages.

Really interesting exhibition on the first floor, with a great cafe downstairs. Riverside location. Free entry. What's not to like.

Fantastic Cafe! We arrived just as they were closing needing food after a 60 mile bike ride. They welcomed us, fed us and even gave us free surplus soup! Very friendly people, highly recommended
