Really excellent bistro, we made a special trip to Duns from Dunbar to revisit this place and it was so worth it. Wonderful home baked bread and delicious cakes, we will be back.

Nice welcoming atmosphere and a great host.Great peppermint tea made with real Mint (no tea-bag) and nice coffee.

Maxwell’s is on the historic market square in Duns, in the Scottish Borders. We make our own sourdough and ciabatta bread everyday for our delicious soup and sandwiches. We champion traditional baking, selling various cakes, tea breads as well as our popular scones and homemade jam.
