“When I came in for an eye test in July 23 the optician discovered a growth on my retina, spreading onto my iris. He referred me to the eye clinic at Ninewell's. In January 2024 they operated and removed the growth. I returned to Duncan and Todd to complete my eye test and ordered glasses. I am very thankful for such thorough examination and referral to correct the problem. Very efficient and professional.”

“Excellent service from the team in Dundee. Lynn, Emma and Scott. After initial tests by Lynn in November going through various scans Emma explained what would happen and what to expect if I went ahead with surgery. Lynn made an appointment in EDI Haymarket for February surgery. It was surprisingly quick and painless. Aftercare in Dundee with Scott was reassuring and he was pleased with my progress after 10 days since surgery. I had some high pressure in my left eye which receded with some eye drops. I feel well taken care of and this is the best value for money exceeding my expectations. Highly recommend Optical Express Dundee for anyone considering laser eye surgery. “From the time I arrived for my appointment I was greeted by friendly staff. Each step of the process was explained to me which made me feel valued as a customer. Clean comfortable area for waiting in and very happy with the service I received for my contact lens too. . I have used Boots opticians since I started to wear glasses and wouldn’t consider changing. They provide a good service, but overall the staff in this area work hard to make it a good experience.”

“Been a customer with Govans for several years now after a couple of opticians who were okay but not really that customer focused. Govans beat them all hands down. Friendly, helpful service, all the staff are super nice. And when it really counts they go above and beyond to help, making sure to check and double check if something isn't quite right. You only have one set of eyes folks. Govan's team will help you keep them. Never changing opticians again. They are superb.”

“This place has looked after my family for decades, and myself all my life. I live on the other side of Dundee but still will never switch opticians.Andrew goes above and beyond to genuinely listen and take into account any issues or symptoms and won’t hesitate to undergo testing. Also, he is very patient and willing to explain things until I understand. Never rushes me, and never ignores concerns. He has every single trait you want in a healthcare provider.In fact, I once had a huge scare when I had a piece of (suspected) metal shoot into my eye while doing some garden work. The eye was sore and I got quite the fright. I knew, though, that my first thought to call AB was key; he was willing to have me come down and see him right away.He had a thorough look at my eyes with his torch and camera, thankfully found nothing in there, and gave advice on soothing the irritation, preventing a heart attack in the process.With lens replacements and glasses frames, I’ve always had top-tier service. The frames they recommended have lasted 2 years now and are excellent, durable, and lightweight.Though I’ve not mentioned him much in here yet, Neil is outstanding, honest, and does his job brilliantly as well - along with the others. Everyone is very kind and polite.The admin team/system are just as good, I’ve had prescriptions from years ago sent to my email in minutes after calling5 stars without hesitation from me ?”

“I was referred to Jarvis for a consultation and assessment for meares-irlnes syndrome and possible special colour tinted lenses. I was a bit nervous, not really knowing what to expect, but the team couldn't have been friendlier and lovelier. From start to finish they've been super helpful and calming and very informative. They're super organised and very reassuring, I'd recommend them to anyone. They've got a lovely selection of frames and i was offered different glasses cases also. I couldn't recommend them enough, you really feel that the experience is catered for you and not at all like you're just another patient on a list for that day. My glasses are fantastic and super helpful I'd really recommend anyone to go to them, they've been fantastic from start to finish!”

“I am not a customer of Vision Express however experiencing trouble with my eye and my regular optician being on holiday, gave them a call. I was asked for some detail and advised to go in and they would fit me in. I was taken immediately. The specialist having looked in my eye, advised she was going to contact ophthalmology at Ninewells. I was given a letter as referral. The Vision Express staff were friendly, professional and efficient. I felt very well taken care of and treated with care and respect. Thank you.”

“I used to suffer with persistent headaches and thought that was just me. I thought my eyesight was good so didn’t realise the importance of getting my eyes tested and wearing my glasses but since Alison tested me and explained how my eyes were constantly straining to focus and it was likely causing my headaches. Since wearing my glasses my headaches have disappeared. I would highly recommend Lindsay and Johnson for their friendliness and great care.”
