If you?re looking for somewhere that serves really good food. Isn?t too busy, and has a friendly face. This is the place to go. Food was very hot, and super delicious. Lots of drinks. TVs for sports. Toilets were clean. Little stove for heat. And for 4 people was roughly £100 with top quality steaks.Vegetarian options: They have enough options for a veggie.Parking: About 12 spaces right next to the bar, free.

Good Highland atmosphere generous and tasty portions and friendly staff and a decent pint of McEwans if thats your taste. Other beers and lagers a available including a selection of spirits and shots. If you fancy a nibble you can get a bite in the bar or in the restaurant upstairs. There plenty of good craic with the regular locals and the bar staff and some fun to be had with the golfers especially those who visit from America!

Came up for an impromptu early dinner, we arrived 10 minutes after opening of the restaurant upstairs to find the doors locked.Went to the bar to be greeted by a friendly barman who had to go and ask the staff upstairs to open the door. When we were shown to our table we were initially impressed by a nice clean dining area albeit quiet as we were the only people in attendance. This later on made more sense as the food, staff and general atmosphere were abundantly inept. The food took a very long time to come as did the drinks orders. They had to retake one drink order due to missing alcohol from stock. The garlic bread we were served was a bizarre tasting mess of a muffin like consistency. Salad was sad and only there to fill a pathetically small plate. My meal of a chicken burger was completely tasteless, fell to pieces while eating and lacked any sort of creative flair. The chips were still cold in the middle while looking anaemic to the eye.My partners beef burger again just an overall let down is an understatement.Perhaps if the staff and kitchen spent more time focusing on customers as opposed to what song is currently playing they may barely scrape by with a more satisfactory experience. Our waitress although friendly did not ask how the food was and didn?t say bye either when we left. The toilets although clean had the door open which was right beside the kitchen. Also having staff members friends hanging around an empty restaurant does not indicate the kind of place a young couple would want to eat or even feel comfortable staying for a drink and dessert. Overall a complete waste of £47.00 save yourself the trip and order something to the house.

Glorified Public School Dinner food hiding behind a beautiful scenic dining area.Server wasn't too bothered about their job, kinda like it doesn't matter what food they did and didn't have in that day. Seemed very excited when leaving the table to tend an empty bar.Didn't ask once if food was okay, if they had I'd of mentioned the myriad of wrongs occurring upon the three plates in front of us.Ordered from evening menu, beef burger, chicken burger and garlic bread. The former two came with undercooked chips (as if the fryer was just turned on for our meal), pale onion rings, two dimensional tomato slices (two of per burger), two measly leafs of lettuce and no house sauce of any kind. I've had tastier PVA glue than the coleslaw. My partners chips were akin to hash browns - but undercooked. The beef burger had one thing going for it, there was Infact beef on it.The chicken burger my partner had was tasteless and fell apart.Garlic bread appeared to be some kind of muffin or cinnamon swirl that was re-purpoused for our order. Aside it was a teeny tiny salad, which actually contained a highlight from my experience: red onion that actually tasted of onion/unlike the onion dense coleslaw. All in all, me and my partner left feeling like our local kebab shop would have left us more impressed. As we were leaving the server told us she didn't mind that there was some issues with the card reader as it 'filled her time as she has nothing else to do'. It should be noted they were wearing their outside clothes and served us with the jacket on.Chef was seen at bar after meal, standing not doing much. The main concern for the staff appeared to be; what music was being played as they skipped through the world's most disorganised playlist (no, no one wants to listen to loch lomond while they are eating). Speaking as a working chef, I feel my wife could cook a better meal with half the ingredients and equipment than this 'professional' kitchen can.The opertunity to do better is overwhelming, however it will take a long time before you convince me to enter with an empty stomach again.Wheelchair accessibility: It's not friendly for those that are handicapped in any way. Steep narrow stairs and difficult to navigate room space.

Found this in Robbie Roams NC 500 book. Very disappointing, food average, Tesco delivery but a premium prices, weirdly service poor but people nice!! Not sure how that can be. No one asks if you?d like a drink, no one asks if you?d like sauces, vinegar,. Etc.. £80 for a steak, salmon, 1 starter and a couple of drinks!!

Lovely restaurant, food was good and we didn't have to wait long, however the staff, although very pleasant, do need some training.Vegetarian options: The 2 vegetarian options we were interested in were not available leaving either a beanburger or vegetarian pizza. I eat fish and that was good.

Arrived at restaurant having booked a table and received confirmation of booking to be told that restaurant was closed due to a wedding . Extremely annoyed by this as we had driven from outside Glasgow to Dornoch for a weekend stay. Fortunately another local restaurant was able to accommodate us at short notice and we had a lovely meal . Extremely annoyed and disappointed by this flagrant disregard of customers. Cannot comment on food .

I would like to start by stating that the staff we encountered were very lovely. That being said during our visit a bat managed to get into the restaurant and kitchen, due to everyone panicking me and my partner acted to assist in the removal of the bat (whilst keeping it safe), in response to this a man I was told is called Tommy (owner or manager wasn't clear) was extremely rude to both myself and my partner as well as another customer who was helping whilst he stood doing nothing but eating chips and taking no action to reassure customers. We consequently left before having our main meal and rather than be thanked for our assistance we got charged for drinks we didn't get to consume and a starter we had to take home on a box.In short the food looked good, the setting was pleasant and the wait staff were very nice but I would avoid so as not to support the lazy and frankly disrespectful management.
