St. Conan's Kirk is a hidden gem in the Scottish Highlands, and my visit was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I set foot on the grounds, I was captivated by the beauty and history of this remarkable place. The architecture of St. Conan's Kirk is nothing short of awe-inspiring. The intricate designs and attention to detail in every aspect of the building showcase the incredible craftsmanship and dedication that went into its creation. The interior is equally stunning, with beautiful stained glass windows and a sense of tranquility that is truly unmatched. The location of St. Conan's Kirk, overlooking the serene and picturesque Loch Awe, adds to the magic of the experience. The peaceful surroundings and the sense of history that permeates the area create a truly special atmosphere that is perfect for quiet contemplation and reflection. The staff and volunteers at St. Conan's Kirk were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the history and significance of the site. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and their willingness to share stories and information added depth and meaning to my visit. One of the most remarkable features of St. Conan's Kirk is its inclusivity and welcoming atmosphere. The church has a rich history of embracing all people, regardless of background or beliefs, and this spirit of openness and acceptance is palpable throughout the entire site.My visit to St. Conan's Kirk left a lasting impression on me, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and enriching experience in the Scottish Highlands. Whether you are interested in history, architecture, or simply seeking a place of beauty and serenity, St. Conan's Kirk is a true treasure that should not be missed. I am grateful for the opportunity to have visited this extraordinary place and look forward to returning in the future.

This is a real mish mash of architectural style and approaches. Sometimes it works some times it?s kitchz others quaint. The passion behind the build is clear to see but as often with added features over a long term plan this sticks out. Worth the visit.

What a glorious hidden gem , easy to pass from the road , but stop and call in and most people are amazed by the stunning architecture, starting off as a family chapel it soon ended up being more of a folly , but the beauty of the place is undeniable, if you go at the right time of day the sun catches certain aspects of the building and makes the shine in a beautiful way.

I definitely want to go back to this amazing place. Photos can not show the real enchantment of this beautiful building and grounds. A castle is also visible in the distance. Viws of the lake are stunning. We went on a cloudy and rainy day but it was still worth the visit. There was no one at the premises but a group of tourists came for quick look. Looks like it's a quick stop over which to me is not enough to appreciate the grounds. The parking is very small but I see the mini buss has parked across the road so I am guessing it's allowed.I didn't see any toilets but I am sure they have. No cafe or shop as well bit I could be wrong because we visited outside of the touristic season (Jan 3rd)

Brilliant pitstop whilst exploring this scenic area. Free and relies heavilly on donations so make this a consideration on your visit. Lovely architecture and look out for the gutter features. At the weekends there are usually refreshment facilities but if not there are a couple of places nearby. A little further on towards Oban there is Corachie Clematis garden centre, Pass of Brander, Inverawe Smokery and the village of Taynuilt.

Incomparably beautiful and well preserved! There is no entrance fee, but a donation is requested to maintain the church, which I encourage everyone to pay.

Entry to this Kirk is on a donation basis. but there is extremely limited parking as the only parks are in a layby on the opposite side of the road to the church, on a narrow road on the edge of the loch. The place itself is beautiful and well maintained, and as a bonus we were greeted bya beautiful friendly little cat
