“This is just for dinner at the restaurant in early August; we did not stay there. It is too bad that Google does not give separate review options for hotels with good restaurants. The restaurant was really great. Food was excellent. The setting, in a glass-enclosed room, was very nice. Service was good.”

“We were lucky enough to stay at The Alexandra when we stayed in Ballater Our rooms were clean, comfortable and functional and quiet even though on the main road The camembert followed by steak pie for dinner was exceptional and washed down by a welcome beer or 2 The staff were great and we had some good banter whilst working our way through their extensive collection of drams Breakfast was great and a relaxed affair The only downside being we only stayed one night”

“We had a fantastic meal at the Balmoral Arms. We booked for dinner the night before we got married in Braemar. It was dog friendly which was really convenient, the atmosphere was great, the service was great and the food was delicious! Would highly recommend.”
