Surprised to read some of the bad reviews here. We found this little gem on our NC 500 travels. Had the steak and ale pie and it was delicious. One of the best pies we’ve tasted. Wish we lived nearer so we could go regularly. The owner works so hard making all the pies and cakes herself. Definitely worth a stop by if...

Delicious pies, fresh baked, and the most amazing cakes and tray bakes. Selection varies, but we enjoyed the Burns Pie (haggis, neeps and tarries) and the Hommity Pie. We had to have cakes, so enjoyed the peach Melba and a cinnamon knot. So good that we had to also have some fresh passion fruit custard cake before we left....

What a lovely friendly stop, sat inside and had a bacon,Brie and chutney pieinnis, absolutely delicious. Highly recommend stopping here, don’t listen to other reviews… try for yourselves you won’t be disappointed

Hello, we are a family run cafe here at Bridge Cottage. You'll find us located on the NC500 in the lovely village of Poolewe.
Come in and buy a loaf of our Handmade Sourdough Bread baked fresh every morning, and if you're in early enough it will still be warm from the oven.
Every day you will find a wide selection of homemade cakes and sweet treats that include dairy and gluten free options.
As well as our sweet treats we have a selection of breakfast and lunch options all utilising our own Sourdough Bread.
A wide variety of refreshments including up to 20 types of tea, coffee roasted here in the highlands and soft drinks to suit all.
Everything on our menu is also available as a takeaway option!
