“My Daughter had her wedding at the hotel on 12th July 2025. All I can say was if there were issues during the day we were not aware of it, Andrea was so very helpful and communication when she took over the organising was first class she went above and beyond for the couple even down to ideas that elevated the bride and grooms day, a chill relaxing day was the brief, and the Haughton delivered, they listened and allowed us to decorate and kept any little surprises to only the people that needed to know. The meal was exceptional and I heard no complaints from anyone regarding it, The vegetable wellington was the best I have ever had, so thank you to the chef for an excellent meal. We stayed for two nights and had a lovely meal on the night before the wedding very chilled and relaxed and we had the restaurant to ourselves, all the staff on the Friday and Saturday did a great job, the rooms were lovely, if I have to give recommendations it would be the rooms on the top floor were a touch too colourful the mustard colour for a master suite was a bit dark for the room. And photos were reflective of this, but the room itself and bathroom was amazing. The only other thing is airconditioning this would be a huge improvment in both the function suite and all the bedrooms, it was over 28 degrees so all rooms had to have the windows open but this then let all the noise from the bar and gardens in. If the windows had been closed we wouldn’t have heard any noise at all. The gardens were immaculate and just right to have photos taken. The benches and outside area with parasols were well used as we had a stunning day. The next day our breakfast was fresh and hot and plenty of it. The hotel is a hidden gem and seriously underated as a wedding venue, if they take on board and offer a wedding package with decor, flowers, dj etc And with Andrea overseeing I am sure more people would have their weddings there, I would also like to thank Steve for his help in finding us a piper for the day. To sum up the Haughton needs to promote itself as a Wedding Venue as it has everything to offer with a few minor improvments but on the day we had a truly wonderful and memorable weekend.
