I went to Mini on Saturday and found a car I loved, I was told it wasn?t in their stock yet so I couldn?t test drive it but the girl said she would call me as soon as it was added and that as it hadn?t been advertised I would get first refusal. I called on Monday to find out if there was an update. I got a call back at 5:30pm that day to say someone else had reserved the car by paying a £99 deposit. I was very frustrated as I wasn?t given that option on Saturday to reserve and would have if I knew I could. Don?t tell your customers they will have first refusal if you can?t do that! I have now bought a Mini elsewhere so they have lost a customer as this is terrible customer service! Would not recommend!

Long review, angry customer!I've bought a few used cars, this was, by far the worst experience.First of all, as soon as I paid the £99 reservation fee, the listing vanished from Auto Trader and their website so I couldn't review the photos again, for context, this was important as the car was in Aberdeen and I am in Kent, not exactly local. The initial walk-around video was very brief and not much information was included. Thomas Higgins then blamed poor weather as to why another video couldn't be taken, by then they had my money.If I had viewed the car in person or in more detail online, I would have never bought it. Many things like aftermarket, carbon fibre wing mirrors, exhaust, and infotainment screen meant the car is very much not as standard, not something I expected from an authorised dealer.The car was delivered, all fine, probably the best part of this experience.Driving the car for the first few days, a number of issues arise and I bring this up with Thomas Higgins. He advises me to book the car into BMW straight away and the initial investigation fee is covered by the 3 month warranty. This morning, I drop the car in to BMW only for them to tell me the initial investigation fee is NOT covered. There are several areas of concern, each one costing under £200 to investigate. Not happy.Prior to this, I eventually receive the V5 but somehow, my name was spelt incorrectly, rendering the document useless. I query this with Thomas Higgins, only for him to say that it wasn't his fault as they used how my name appeared on my email, not my driving licence which I sent them, laughable!! He offered to cover the £25 charge to amend but since then, my emails have been ignored.To top things off, the spare key doesn't even work! The car was meant to have been serviced prior but as soon as I got it, the coolant needed topping up and it has loud, squeaky brakes.Overall, a really poor experience, I would have got better service from Del Boy!!

This is a fairly long review, so he's the short version: I bought a car from John Clark Mini Aberdeen, I love it, the customer service was great (Jenni-Leigh was superb), but buying a £40k car that requires repairs immediately isn't what I wanted at all.Starting off with the bad things:After I had committed to buying the car (reserved, visited the dealer, confirmed I want it and will purchase etc) it was reduced by a further £400 on the website. This reduction I was not given. As part of buying a car from John Clark Mini, there was a plethora of add-ons (I had to pay for £25 worth of fuel in the car? A £150 administration fee? Ridiculous, in my opinion) I did my best to give the car a thorough looking over, but nevertheless it was not good enough as here are some things I spotted upon returning home with the car:- Paint chip on the rear arch, after I asked to touch up some of the marks all over the car- Crack in grille mesh for an intake (which is going to cost me over £740 to replace)- Seat plastic is not fitted properly- I have to get the shocks replaced as they are leaking oil. Remember, I spent £40k on this car. Thankfully I purchased the best warranty I could with John Clark Mini, so hopefully the shocks will be replaced under warranty soon.- Rear numberplate isn't straight. This is a very minor one, but still.All of these things are pretty disappointing for a car that I spent forty thousand pounds on.As for the good bits, the communication I received was pretty spot on. The walkaround video was great, all emails were answered swiftly, when they said they would ring me back they did in fact ring me back. I spoke to Jenni-Leigh who dealt with my purchase, who was absolutely stellar and I recommend anyone visiting John Clark mini to ask for her. Being allowed to test drive the car for as long as I liked was massively appreciated, so I can't thank the dealership enough for allowing me the time I needed to make sure it was the right car for me.Anyways, I would visit John Clark Mini in Aberdeen again, I would just make sure I do a more thorough check over of the car before I purchased. Here's a few scenic photos of my car, which I do still love and would undoubtedly purchase again.

Had to continually chase the sales department up for the Test drive of the Cooper S Countryman. But never heard back. I was interested but the follow up was very poor and didn't seem interested. So have decided to go elsewhere.I never got a valuation for my car that was promised and to be honest I didn't get any follow up on anything at MINI Aberdeen. Your showroom is very dark and too relaxed and when you walk in your not offered a seat or a coffee you just stand there for ages and look awkward until someone eventually comes to assist you. Not the best experience here in Aberdeen Mini.

Paid the refundable £99 in good faith to test drive a car in Aberdeen that was in Tayside. Few delays getting the car up due to an event that was on but we were in no rush. Car wasn't for us after the test drive so asked for the £99 refund but still no sign. Instant transfer of the money out of the account but refund needs a managers signature and forms sent to head office. Keeping an eye on account for the money coming back - ended up purchasing elsewhere. No sign of refund.

Liasing with sales consultant on a vehicle, agree a new price, by the time I go to accept they had sent the vehicle down to another branch within 24 hours? extremely disappointing customer service and communication.

Terrific experience from first enquiring about the car until purchase , all staff I encountered were friendly efficient and courteousThey were empathetic of the drive we had to both see the vehicle and thereafter purchase and handover our trip was around 2 hrs 30 .On arrival offered refreshments or a hot drink , nice seating area and showroom lovely and warmJason our sales executive was superb from the outsetHe prepared a personal detailed video of the vehicle which made our assessment easyThe deal was good the car was prepared well and we were kept fully informed by Jason of progress and the process to be followedOverall it was an excellent no nonsense experience , Particular thanks again to Jason who was efficient and not at all a pushy type of salesperson,I highly recommend this dealership

Bought my used Mini - they assured me they would fix it. 10 months on - still waiting on it being fixed and they have now advised they won?t. Absolutely AVOID!
