“Joe & Hannah helped us with the Cheese “tower” for our wedding. Their advice was invaluable, the tasting session fabulous and the cheese on the day was beautiful and devoured by all our guests. We can’t recommend Joe & Hannah highly enough!”

“This store has been closed for many months and in that period they have disposed of No 5 and all their activity is being conducted in No 4. The interior has been completely refurbished and the entrance to the shop is now down a small side passage.”

“It's lovely to spend time here. The book recommendations are also wonderful both for adults and kids. The staff are very helpful. I've always found some unique books for kids. I would like to see a few more additions to the 10-14 age category.”

“After more than five years of regular use as a bed and desk my Studybed had a problem the other day with one of its balancing rods. It was critical for me as I needed to use the bed by the weekend for a family visit. But Nigel at the office promptly sorted out a visit and like a Superhero their engineer zoomed in, replaced the faulty part, gave the bed a service, added some handy stops that have improved the design since 2017 and left again for nothing more than my gratitude a friendly hand-shake! Studybed made my day. The quality of desk/bed never ceases to amaze me and my guests and the service offered by the company is friendly and nothing short of first class!”

“Not a reflection on this particular store, but how employees are treated by the powers above. Staff are expected to offer products at the tills to up sell as well as offer a leaflet asking to leave a review, and ask customers for postcodes, those at head office clearly have no idea what its like working in a store. customers come in to shop, not get asked various questions at the tills, it is very of putting, and ive never known a shop ask for postcodes before! Staff have had a lot on their plate, what with working throughout the pandemic even though everyone knows that robert dyas wasnt an essential store during the lockdown. All this while earning the absolute minumum the goverment will allow. If the company could pay less, they absolutely would. Its sad that the government has had to implement the national living wage because greedy businesses don't value their staff enough to pay them a decent wage. Theo Pathitis should be ashamed of himself. From what ive heard, it isn't a good place to work, staff have lost faith in the powers above and during this pandemic they certainly have shown their true colours. Profit before employee's health and wellbeing.”
